  1. Hey!!! Just as i was about to rant on about how i can't wait any longer... I just found 131.08 as a cash deposit in my account!!!! This has to be the court cost and interest. Shame i've got to wait til next week for the rest, but at least I'VE WON!!!!
  2. Right, the final stretch... I received a generic reply to my LBA. Basically going into how they're sorry they couldn't close my complaint. They're going to refer it to the Member Service Dept... I've given them the full 28 days in which to repay. I issued my MoneyClaim a few moments ago. Hopefully, i'll be £1400 richer the next time I post!
  3. Thanks for the info Dolly! This will be a long haul, but one which'll pay off, i'm sure. Honestly, i can't wait to get to the MoneyClaim stage as i know that's when thing start to happen. I received one of those "thanks for your letter received on.....I am unable to refund any charges" replies this morning. So i guess i'll be sending an LBA on Monday. They've mentioned that if i can't abide by their T+Cs then it may be appropriate for me to consider "alternative banking arrangements". Good thing i've done that already and have a new current account ready and waiting....
  4. Hi all, Hope everyone's claims are going through wihout too much of a hitch! After gaining so much inspiration from the forum, i thought i'd better add something. I managed to get hold of 6 years' worth of bank statements after waiting around 2 weeks. I then handed a letter requesting just under £1400 and a schedule of charges to a branch advisor (awkward, but at least i know they got it!). That was on 27 June. So now Nationwide have until 11 July before i issue an LBA  I've also opened a parachute account with Alliance and Leicester who are offering a better deal anyway. It's all a bit of a shame really- i've had my FlexAccount for 15 years and until now, had no trouble. Turns out building societies don't operate in their members' best interests after all! I'll keep you posted.....
