I had heard of that before but someone else had mentioned most credit companies state they work under English Law. The debt was from a bad time and at the moment my main interest is seeing them become statute barred before looking into anything else. Thanks

Hi All, I would appreciate your help with the following. My debts are currently approaching staute barred limit 5yrs for Scotland. I took out the credit while living in Scotland. I soon moved to England where I believe there is a different law regarding statute barred debt at 6 yrs. What I would like to know is that now I live in England and defaulted on the credit while living in England how many years would I have to wait for it to be statute barred. Thanks in advance for help.
