  1. Okay Mr.P that's good advice. Unfortunately I will have to go alone tomorrow but thank you for your help.
  2. Interview is tomorrow. I'm shaking has I type. Just one more question...What should I or should I not sign? I ask because I have been reading around and do you have to sign anything that I should I be aware of what not to sign in regards to the data forms that others are told they have to when they go to the a4e places ? or am I getting my wires crossed!
  3. What they are about again depends on them, be careful what if anything you sign up for, because once you agree to something you have to attend, or your money could be stopped. Okay thanks for the warning Lilly. I have heard they put some people on courses and others it's just a simple easy chat and that's it! I guess it varies from person to person.
  4. Hi Estellyn, Tommy. Thanks for your reply's and the links provided. To answer your question. I am in the Work Related Activity Group. I think I better go why take the unnecessary risk and get sanctioned? Do you know the answers to my first two questions? Thanks Tom
  5. Hello All, I have just recently won my Employment Support Allowance appeal. I received a letter saying "I have to attend a Work-Focused interview" This as come has a surprise has I have just been found too unfit to work. My questions are... (1). What is a Work-focused interview? What will happen? (2). Are these Work-Focused Interviews weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly or just a one-off? (3). Do you have to attend I heard somewhere that you are not obligated to attend.
  6. Hello, Last May I went for a work capability assessment one of those ATOS medicals. I scored no points. And I was no longer entitled to claim Employment Support Allowance. I appealed that decision. During the appeal process I was claiming Job Seekers Allowance. I recently won my appeal at the tribunal. So, my question is what happens now? Do I sign off JSA myself or will the DWP do that when they receive the copy of the papers from the tribunal? Will I backdated from last May or when I submitted the appeal papers? How long does it take to receive the backdated money? Any advice I will appreciate. Thank you
  7. Hi Guys, Last week I called the DWP to transfer from JSA to ESA. This morning, I received my ESA Customer statement. I am just a little confused about what to do now? In the Statement it states "We require evidence to support your claim. Please provide us with documents to support your claim" What documents do they mean? It doesn't state in the letter what they are. I hope this doesn't sound a stupid but do they mean sick note which I haven't provided has yet or my P45? Appreciate your help guys...Thanks Tom
  8. Thanks Reallymadwoman, That sounds like good advice. I have already signed on today. I get paid Thursday. On Friday, I will get my sick note and then call the DWP and ask if I can change back to ESA. Just one last question if I may...Is changing to ESA done instantly or does it take a few weeks to process? Thanks Guys
  9. Thank you all for your reply's. I appreciate your help. Yes, I did fail my Mandatory reconsideration I scored 9 points. If I signed off today and claimed ESA does anyone know how long it will take to process? Also, if I signed off today would I still be paid this week? I am due to get paid on Thursday. Final question would the Job centre plus put my ESA claim in for me or do I have to personally contact DWP myself? Thank you all
  10. Hey Everyone, My name is Tom. This is my first post on this forum. I am just looking for a little advice. Okay, some background information. I was claiming ESA till June this year. I went for one of those dreaded ATOS medicals no surprised I failed scored 0 points. I got took off ESA. I then asked for a Mandatory reconsideration. In the Mandatory Reconsideration I got a phone call from the DWP and I went from 0 to 9 points but I am still short. During this time I had no option but to claim JSA to get some income. I have appealed. I got a letter from the HM Courts & Tribunals service stating that they are making arrangements for my ESA appeal to be heard by an independent tribunal. My question is what happens now...How do I sign off JSA and claim ESA? Can I still claim JSA and wait for my appeal to be heard? I sign on tomorrow should I tell my employment advisor? And, If I sign off tomorrow will I still get paid this week? Sorry for all the questions. Any help appreciated
