I will get the paperwork out this weekend and let you know what it says about the interest.
If my memory serves me correctly, the interest rate is 12%
I asked if the could reduce it some years ago, to be in line with the Bank of England
and they said that they are not regulated by the Bank of England, that they have their own regulations.
I originally owed money to Swift finance.
In short Blemain took over that loan,
one condition was to take out PPI,
which I did when I needed it for an injury
they said I wasn't covered.
I was in arrears some more than 5 years ago but am not anymore.
They also forced Building insurance on me, when I already had building insurance with my Mortgage company so I was paying double.
I argued about the building insurance as I had a loan with Blemain, not a mortgage.
They insisted and said they were adding it to my loan.
I never ever saw an insurance policy ever.
They have taken advantage of me and I really don't want to pay them £38k for a £10k loan.
I am a little naive single parent who has always worked hard to support my three children.
I wish I could turn the clock back, but unfortunately I can't.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Anita S L.
