  1. Perfectcare is shown as optional on the website. You would need their theft and accidental damage cover if your home insurance does not cover hire purchase items as goods need to be cover per the terms of their hire purchase agreement.
  2. If you have paid 50% off of the total agreement amount, you are able to return the product for them. It is standard practice with hp agreements that you would be required to pay 50% of the total balance, this would be shown in the terms and conditions. I would expect that as you haven't paid the 50% then they would look at ' forbearance'. I think it is reasonable for them to ask for proof of your financial difficulty in order to look at returning the goods if you haven't paid 50% off the contract amount. It also falls under the fca conc 7.3.5 that a customer provides evidence of financial difficulty. They are unable to remove the goods without your consent if you have paid over a third however if there is a failure to paid over a certain period this may result in a default which may show on you credit file, making credit harder to get in the future. It would benefit you to provide evidence of financial difficulty in order for them to take the goods back.
  3. Have you spoken to the manager of the store? If not have you spoken to their head office? I understand you have emailed them to discuss however some company's require to identify you over the telephone before they will discuss account specific details over email. You have said that you are being harassed by the company. Are you ignoring the calls or answering them?
  4. Thompson71, ask them for a copy, they can only say no. A sar request can take upto 40 days before you get a response. Why wait...... I'd just ask if they say no then your no worse of then what you are now. Call the lady tomorrow and just try your look. It's silly paying between 10- 20 pounds for info you can get for free. If they say yes then you will prob get it in a few days rather than 40days which will help sort your problem out quicker.
  5. Hope you told them that you was recording the call. I can't see how a sar request will help. you said you want statements I know these can be printed at the stores so can't see you needing a sar for that, and don't companies need to provide a copy of your contract when you ask?
  6. Dx100 thinks differently to me. I'm just going off the agreement in front of me. But surely if the hire purchase agreement states that it's is a condition of the hire purchase agreement to insure the goods are cover for theft and accidental insurance then you are bound by the terms? Anyway what do I know! Lol. I would seriously give them a call and speak about it.
  7. I would phone their customer services. You mention your requesting a SAR. I'd call and see if you can get the information you need for free. If they say no then do a sar request, if they say yes that's a bonus and will prob be with you quicker to help you solve the problem.
  8. 3000 over 6 months seems rather excessive. Could that be the amount you are required to pay over the terms of the agreement? My dad has an agreement with perfect homes, so I've just got his agreement out. It does state that coverplus is optional ( which I believe is a warranty). However the terms and conditions of the hire purchase do state that the goods are needed to be covered against theft and accidental damage at all times. From what I can see you can give 30day notice to cancel coverplus, and to remove the theft and accidental damage insurance you can cancel at anytime but I should imagine as you are needed to have the items covered under the terms of the contract that you may need to show you are covered elsewhere. I'm not sure whether you would get any money back if you have signed the forms as then it comes down to your word against there's. I'm sure dx100 may be able to advise Have you contacted the customer services at perfect homes?
  9. How much do you believe that you owe? And how much is temple finance saying you owe? Have you asked for statements showing what you have paid? You mentioned that the sales person told you that the insurance was optional, if this is the case have you signed the paperwork saying you agreed to take this out? Also what is the insurance for?
