  1. so i should just ignore all my PDL debts and never pay them back?
  2. I spoke to ARC on the phone(!) after having missed a payment in december and they have been happy to set my payment plan backup from the end of january and also reduced it from £45 p/m down to £30 p/m with no argument! I have spoken to a few of my lenders on the phone this month and they all seem a lot less aggresive than they have been in previous years. Maybe the new legislation is having some effect?
  3. That must have been a really long investigation they did on themselves LMFAO
  4. Does anybody know if anything has happened to them? I have been emailing them over the past couple of weeks but for the last 2 days my replies have just bounced back with DNS errors?
  5. It's not as easy as that. They have my card details and I don't want to cancel the card again. OK I could cancel the CPA and if that even works then I am still going to have to contact 100pounds and try to get them to accept £115, which they wont, then it will go into default and get passed to a debt collector etc etc. It's not as easy as you lot make out I would rather just pay it and then report them if possible
  6. They are refusing to remove the charge and say I must stick to the original agreement which means I will have to repay £165 on payday which I plan to do Is it worth me reporting them to the FCA and how would I do that?
  7. Just received this email!!!!!! Please be aware that you have signed a Loan Agreement with us which clearly states that: "In the event that you do not pay the payment sum on the due date, you will be in default on your Loan, and you will be charged a missed payment fee of £50.00 (which will be added once the loan has become 2 days overdue); and a missed payment fee of £50.00 (which will be added once the loan has become 17 days overdue)." The due date of your loan was 19th July. You were able to extend your loan until 20th July for a £20 fee. As you were unable to repay or extend your loan, on 21st July a £50 charge was be added to your outstanding amount with us. This means that total amount is currently £165. No further charges will be added until 5th August. The option to set up a repayment plan is available from day 12 of your loan cycle, which is 21st July. You are able to set up a repayment plan by logging in to your account on our webpage. To set up the repayment plan you have to pay £50 straight away; the £25 fee for the repayment plan is included. When creating the repayment plan, please choose the same date for each of your future partial payments. Also, please note if you fail to make one of your repayments, your debt will be transferred to the Debt Collection immediately. Best regards, Stephen Fry Customer Service
  8. Well I emailed them but no reply. I cannot cancel my card because I have only just setup new pro-rata repayments to my other pdl's, so I guess they are going to sting me for about £200+ How do I report their penalty charges to the FCA?
  9. Could you give some advice about how I go about not paying the charge? Do I email them and say I agree to pay £120 or £x amount on payday and see if they accept I guess If I dont cancel my card they are just going to take what they want which will affect my other payments
  10. Just found this at the bottom of the email Copyright © 2012 100pounds.co.uk. 100pounds.co.uk is a trading name of Sunny Marketing Ltd. I dont mind paying them up to £150 on my payday just to get rid of them but it sounds from the email that they are going to charge me £50 every 7 days. I dont want to change banks again as I have only just done that.. I guess I could report my card as stolen and hope they dont get to the money? Is it worth me emailing them and saying I agree to pay £150?
  11. 100pounds.co.uk I am in trouble with this company as well as I was due to pay the loan back on the 19th. I will be able to pay it on payday at the end of July. They have emailed me to inform me that they have added £50 charge to the loan, which I think is pretty excessive? Original loan was £100 over 10 days, repayment should have been £115 on the 10th day. Email from them: Your bank has declined our numerous attempts to collect the 100Pounds loan repayment on your 10 day loan today and the payment remains outstanding. We are keen to be a loan provider that you can trust, but this relationship must work on both sides, in order to be successful. Following our failure to collect your payment, the original repayment sum on your short-term loan of £115 will now have an administration fee applied to it of £50.00, bringing the total outstanding amount to £165, as set out in the credit agreement that you read and agreed to. We'll try to make another attempt to collect your payment on 21/07/2014, but in the meantime, you can make an immediate payment by logging in to 100pounds.co.uk, calling us on 0203 608 9053 or emailing our team at support@100pounds.co.uk If you continue to break the terms of our Credit Agreement, there may be significant repercussions: - We will continue to charge administration fees for each step we need to undertake in our endeavours to collect your repayment on this loan.
  12. Well there is no money in the account and it has no overdraft so hopefully it should be ok but I think I am going to phone them and try to close the account
  13. I have phoned my bank and he was reluctant to put in 'cancel CPA' requests as he said all the companies need to do is to apply for the money under a different name and it will work. However he has done it for me so hopefully I shouldnt get any bank charges. Wages should be going into my other account and i have emailed the PDLs but none have replied I guess they are hoping to get their money tomorrow
  14. I have made arrangements for my salary to go into another account and I have cancelled all the DD's on the account that the repayments were due to come from. Can I cancel CPA's by going into the bank or does it have to be by letter? What happens if I dont phone the PDLs and send them a letter instead, would that be best? I am worried they are going to phone me at work tomorrow.
  15. Does anyone have email addresses for the following companies and an idea of an email I can send to say I wont be paying tomorrow and to offer a reduced payment? Or would it be better to phone them? Cash converters loans Lending Stream Clear Account Thanks
  16. I found an android app to record my calls! Called "Automatic Call recorder" Anyway I phoned Swinton and they were quite helpful, she offered to send out a new credit agreement and when I send it back she said they will remove the charge from my account!
  17. I will ring them and see what they say. Because I pay by direct debit they have already added the charge to my monthly payments
  18. I have just renewed my insurance with them 2 weeks ago, and last week they sent me a letter stating that they had not received my signed credit agreement within 14 days and so are charging me £24 for this. The issue is that I did not receive the credit agreement in order for me to sign it! is it worth me ringing them to try to get the charge removed or is there little point?
  19. I have spoken to national debtline and gone through a budget and worked out that i am overspending each month, they advised to secure my next wages which i have done as work are going to pay into my old barclays account, and then to try to arrange repayment plans with my creditors. Im just worried about getting phone calls at work, is there any short and sweet comment that i can make easily to them if they call me at work? NDL said I need to revoke their permission to contact me by phone but obviously if i say that in an open office everybody is going to know what sort of thing i am dealing with
  20. i have a bank account that i havent used for about 3 years with another bank, i swapped from one to the other as I got into this mess before do you think it would be safe to have my salary paid into that old account
  21. Im really worried about doing it though after they went through all the terms & conditions on the phone with about repayments etc. But they did look at my bank statements so surely should have realised what I state I am in?
