Thanks for the advice guys. I'm very unworldly when it comes to anything like this so I have no idea how to check my credit file. Al I've ever done is check my bank and card accounts and they are all fine

Had never heard of this company until today. Never had any run-ins with any debt companies at all. Today I received a letter from bpo on behalf of motormile finance stating that I owed almost £900 for an obviously unstated reason. The letter stated that both companies had been contacting me without reply ( untrue, had no prior communication with them until today) and threatened doorstep visits if I do not pay. I have never taken out a loan in my life......I owe no money to any kind of club or organisation...... They even got my gender wrong on the letter!! I genuinely have no idea where this has come from at all...... Could it be mistaken identity? Should I just ignore it and see what happens next? Any advice or help appreciated, many thanks
