  1. Will be interesting to see if you get your statements through, waiting on Lloyds Bank bank account and credit card statements - another 10 or so days to go till the 40 days pass. Seems strange that i`m waiting on both.
  2. I just questioned the most recent charge which I said I was unhappy about, it was there gesture to remove this charge from my account - though they said any future charges would stand. I`m waiting on my DPA requests to come through with copies of statements, at which point i`ll make an initial approach to reclaim older charges. Dependent on the reply to that is then the time to consider legal action through the small claims court if its not satisfactorally resolved.
  3. I managed to get the latest charge of £35 back from them as a `goodwill gesture`. Will have to look up the legal stuff of going to the small claims court.
  4. Think i`ll leave it for the 40 days, then cheque whether payments have been cashed and get in touch regardless.
  5. Know that some people have mentioned having their DPA information come through extremely quickly. Understand they have 40 days to comply, but been about a month and not a peep from either Personal Banking or Credit Card DPA request that i`ve put in.
  6. Extremely interesting thread, and probably useful for anyone that has problems when dealing through solicitors to settle their claim. The crazy thing is that its probably cost more in solicitors fees to defend this case than your original claim. However I would imagine that some banks would make it as difficult as possible for people to regain their money to serve as a deterent.
  7. RBS/Mint have brought there charges in line with the £12 maximum as of the end of June. The cost of processing a default charges probably comes to pennies so still profiterring by the likes of Barclaycard by charging the maximum.
  8. I`m going to mail the guy direct... and if that fails use Bank Fodders method. Without going into detail the guys finances were really screwed judging by the top sheet. So i`m sure he`ll be glad that someone has been sent copies of his statements and it doesn`t exactly cast Citibank in a good light. Isn`t this against the Data Protection Act in some way as well? Citibank are going to get a nicely worded letter as well. I haven`t filled in their release form yet so thought this mornings envelope was unusual.
  9. Found in shocking to be honest, as that means someone else probably has mine. Will be gettng in touch with said person and also Citibank next week.

    Amex Amazement!

If they were to admit the legal points were correct think they`d be leaving themselves for the flood gates to open for people to make claims.
