We sold our old touring caravan in July 2013 for £1000 privately in Withernsea, East Yorkshire. It was a 2 berth Elddis model.The seller viewed, and was happy with it; then we heard no more.Nearly 7 months later, out of the blue we received contact alleging that it was 3 years older than claimed when we sold it. (1988 model rather than from the early 1990s as we believed). The purchaser is asking for money back as it is worth less (allegedly).When we sold it the purchaser asked about the age when they viewed and we were clear we didnt know for sure but were told 12 months previous when we purchased it that the seller believed it was from the early 1990s. The seller raised no issue with this at the time of purchase and we gave information that to our best belief was accurate; certainly we did not willingly do anything wrong.The purchaser claims it was incorrectly advertised!
