  1. Well I'm back from court and very pleased to say it went well. No-one from IDF turned up so it was just me and the District Judge. He was very nice and said they'd been very harsh and not taken into account my other debts. The judge read through my income and expenditure form and said "do you think you could afford £50?". I had offered £40 so I was really relieved at this. So hes amended the order to £50. It was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and I feel like I can sleep tonight. Thanks everyone who replied to me.
  2. Thanks for your reply. I havent put anything on for Sky or entertainment but I put one figure for housekeeping because there wasnt much room on the form. It might look like I spend a lot on food etc do Ive redone it snd itemised everything such as dentist prescriptions etc. It works out that ive got £56 spare each month and i previously offered £40. If they dont accept this and keep it at the higher amount will I be able to appeal?
  3. Well ive got a Redetermination Hearing tomorrow and I'm really scared. I'm pinning all my hopes on the court reducing the monthly payments to an amount I can afford. Has anyone else experienced this?
  4. They cant refuse if it could jeapordise your job. Report them to the OFT.
  5. I had a number of phone calls at work from Mackenzie Hall. I told them they were jeapordising my job and they must delete my number ftom their filess immediately. I said if I receive any more phone cslls at work I will regard them as harrassment and will report them to the appropriate authority. I also sent this by email and post. I got a letter back from them saying they have removed my number. Theyre not allowed to harrass you at work, dont let them get away with it.
  6. I ignored phone calls from these people and refused to give my details so they came round to my house. They wont give up.
  7. Yes ive gone over it several times. I dont understand how they arrive at a figure of £100 a month more than the original figure. The whole point of sending an Application to vary is to get the instalment down not up. Is it possible the court has made a mistake?
  8. Its a credit card debt. I know my offer is very low and i would pay more if I could but I honestly cannot afford more and no I dont have any PPU or anything to reduce it. I just dont understand why the court have increased the instalment when i couldnt afford the original amount. Ive written back asking them to reconsider but I dont know what else to do.
  9. Hope someone can give me some advice because I'm really worried. IDF Finance have a CVJ against me for £9800. I received the Claim Form late so consequently my Admissipn form was sent in late. The court gave a judgment of £407 a month. I had offered IDF £40 a month but presumably because it was late they have ignored this (I know £40 is very low but it really is all I can realistically afford). I sent to the court an application to vary together with an income and expenditure form and asked them to consider my offer of £40 a month. Today i received the varied order snd the court have increased my instalment to £502 a month. I cant understand why they would increase it by nearly £100 a month when I couldnt afford the original amount. I have written to them today asking them to reconsider. What do you think are my chances of getting the instalments reduced? Is there anyyhing I should be doing? I cant sleep with the worry of this.
