Hi Guys Just an update. I still have not received a tangible reply or resolution from capital one. The mark remains on my file, I have neither received another email and most certainly no letter from the executives office. See below their last reply.. . they said they would reply in 7 days but they have not. Its well overdue. What is there left to write to them? anything? i think it surely must be time to enforce the issue somewhere else. They clearly are going to continue to ignore me and most certainly this stain on my file is causing me no end of distress now. I cannot do anything, i need to move forward.... this is their last reply. ...which i receive on the 15th September 2014 explaining i would get a reply within 7 days.. ... i have had no such reply.... Dear Mr ,,,,,, Thank you for your email sent to Rich Fairbank. I am a manager within the Executive Office and I am now looking into your complaint. I will email you again within seven working days. In the meantime, should you require anything from me, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Kind regards Rachel Groves The Executive Office

I wonder if you can help further i want to write an email/letter to cap1 CEO and make a formal complaint. i want to write something specific but need a little help with the wording, I would like to include the following; I sent them money for a subject access request last year! they have not replied. Their bailiff company is writing to me i have already told them this is not my debt i.e. it was part of identity theft and every other negative stain on my credit file has been removed months ago now, only theirs remains. I did not reside at the address that the default was issued to i want the default removed immediately as i was never in receipt of it I wish them to comply to my subject access request. i have an fraud ref number and have reported this, they know this and are still ignoring me I had a letter from them asking explaining that my signature does not match the one they have on file, when clearly it is not going to is it! its not my signature. Sorry to be blunt but its getting me down now as i need to move and with this last only default on my credit file its really beginning to have a massive negative effect on my life. Any help is so desperately needed and welcome. Please Thanks thus far.

Just a short note to let you know that Equifax has completed their enquiries, and has confirmed that the account information has been removed as requested. You can check how the amendment appears on your file when you next update your credit report through checkmyfile. I hope this helps but if you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get back in touch. Regards, checkmyfile This does not mean it will go away forever but its a start...

I suffered identity theft. More than a year ago loads of negative marks appeared on my file which took me a long time to remove. One being a CCJ which i went to court to set aside. Everything was removed successfully after lots of writing to the creditors involved. Then suddenly this one appeared. I have disputed it with the CRAs but it will take time for them to get back to me. I still cannot figure out who the OC is as its not showing on my credit file.

I have no idea what type of debt it is. Payday? it certainly is not mine i never took one out. I do not and was not living at that address at the time. Unless someone received a letter after i left the property and used my details fraudulently. Notice of assignment? whats that? Ill look as you suggested, thank you.

Hi, Just when i thought i was getting my credit file sorted out i noticed today on my credit file that motormile finance uk ltd have put a default on my credit file for May and June but not July and August. To be honest I have never heard of them, the details are below. I am immediately concerned that a company can just put a default on your credit file without even calling or writing to you? is that legal? its really made my credit score drop dramatically. Very damaging indeed. Before i engage the company i wanted to ask anyone if they could help me write the best letter possible so that i start my communications with them correctly. The details of the alleged debt are below. the debt was registered at an address i used to live at 3 years ago but i do not recognise the debt or the company or the amount at all. The info on my credit file is as follows; Motormile Finance UK Limited Account opened: 2nd May 2011 Last updated: 1st June 2014 Current Balance: £189 Default Date: 31st May 2011 Reported until: May 2017 The credit history on my account has a a BIG 'D' on May and June of this year (2014) no defaults before that and none after. The address is incorrect as my address during this period is different. the company have written me a standard letter by post to my existing address which clearly they got from the register. I have NEVER EVER received any bill previously from anyone or company for this amount before. I really need to get the default removed as i feel that its very wrong for a company to be able to put a default on your file without even writing to you first. Any help i would be most grateful.
