  1. Well i didn't look too much into it at the time, however what i am worried about now is that MMF are claiming such a high level of debt, when as far as i knew it was only around £20. Having just reda some threads on MMf, should i contact them directly and let myself in for some of the problems other CAG members have experienced or should i be dealing with wonga directly? If anyone from MMF shows up here they will not be getting in.
  2. I asked my bank at the time what i could do and they said they couldnt do much as, because i had given wonga my card details, i had agreed to them taking ongoing payments.
  3. Hi all. Just wondered if anyone has experienced anything like this with Wonga? In 2010 i borrowed £200 from them and paid it back with no problems. Then a few months later i borrowed another £200. This time i realised that i was going to struggle to repay the debt on the due date, so i called them and explained my situation. I was advised that if the payment failed on the due date that a fee would be applied to my account and that we would have to come to a new arrangement. I begrudgingly aggreed to this. This was not the case. On the due date, i checked my bank account to find that they had cleared it out by taking 9 smaller payments over a period of around 3 hours, leaving a family with 2 young children completely skint. I contacted them again and was told "not our problem, you should have made other arrangements." I got absolutely nowhere with them and ended up having to borrow money from a relative just to feed the children. Anyway, the upshot of that was that at after they took my money, i ended up still owing them around £20, which until recently i had forgotten about. Now, after going for 3 years with no contact from them, i have started receiving e-mails from MMF claiming that i now owe them £678 and that they are planning a home visit. Any advice would be gratefully received.
