  1. Thanks for the replies. I think I might contact the letting agency and see what they have to say. I know that we're entitled to change suppliers, but wasn't sure what happens when we move (as we're likely to do within the next year). We inherited our current supplier from the last tenants, but I didn't know if this was standard in rented accommodation!
  2. Hello! I'm hoping someone can advise - I've been Googling but can't find an answer! I'm in rented accommodation. We pay our own utility bills, and there's nothing in the contract to state we can't change suppliers. If we were to change to a fixed tariff contract, what would happen if we were to move out? Would the new tenant be lumbered with it, or would we have to cancel? It's a daft question - but is the contract for the property, or for the people who live there? I've done the price comparison thing and know we could save if we switched, but never having done it before I'm a bit confused! Thanks!
