  1. All spreadsheets done and payments are pretty accurate for the info I have. Wins so far: Lloyd's loans: £11500 Lloyd's mortgage protection £13200 MBNA credit card £6000 Lloyd's credit card and 2 card finances to go.....
  2. Ok, 7 loan claims upheld, £11500 making £24700 so far from 9 Lloyd's claims......still 2 credit cards and 2 car finances to go
  3. Yes, seems to work out ok dependant on how you work out the interest
  4. Mortgage PPI claimed from Lloyd's, £13200 offered. Contacted them, filled in paperwork, a phone discussion and a few weeks wait..... Also claiming for 7 Lloyd's loans, 2 credit cards and enquiring about 2 car finances.
  5. First responses back - MPPI x2 claims upheld, £13,200 offered, nice Should hear about bank loans and Lloyd's credit card soon, mbna paperwork completed and returned.
  6. Interesting, any further advice, having spent many an hour on here reading stories etc I was wary and in all cases only sought to confirm details already provided or sought to 'strengthen' claim. Difficult to write here but a few examples below of questions asked: 1) during your employment with X from 1998 can you confirm the benefits you were entitled to: ans, yes same as you've had in writing, x death in service, y redundancy t&cs, pension paying z death in service - oh and I've also got your life insurance policy.......... 2) we have your info for employment back to 1998, but what were you entitled to for 1993 and was it a full time job: yes full time job, x death in service, y redundancy, z pension paying further death in service xxxxxx 3) we've checked all your loans and all but 1 were taken out in branch, but one was online - how did you decide to select ppi? Answer - I was advised in branch in advance of online application, as was the case for all in branch loans where I was effectively instructed to take the ppi option without any discussion about my personal circumstances or whether the cover was apprpriate. 4) can you provide details of which branches gave you what advice and who you spoke with - sorry no I don't believe I have to retain that information and I would expect the bank to have records if they were needed? Hopefully I've not done any harm to my claim, but I am wary that such a large number of claims would make Lloyd's even more vigilant to pay out. I hope them going further back and investigating further loans us a positive sign.
  7. Little update: still no contact from mbna or car finance companies (not long before 40 working days expires and have masses of paperwork ready to go to FOS for mbna - totalling in excess of £3000 of ppi payments over 10 years). Lloyd's have now been in touch 5 times for the loans asking for clarification on death in service, life insurance and redundancy terms - latest calls today (3 off) saying they'd found further loans back to 1993, hence need for further info. They also confirmed that all bar one loans were done in branch (not via internet). They say I should receive letters detailing next steps in the next couple of weeks...
  8. Lloyds say it will take up to a further 8 weeks to review my case, here's hoping for a positive outcome.....
  9. A little update - 3 Letters of acknowledgement now received from LLoyds TSB, a quick call to the call centre and they've confirmed that the 3 letters and 3 PPI reference numbers are the 3 departments looking in to the claims, one for credit card, one for loans and one for mortgage protection. Nothing from MBNA or either of the car finances as yet. I've also had HR at work help by providing me my employment terms & conditions over the last 16 years with them, confirming death in service benefits of 3+ years salary, full sickness pay for 6, 9 or 24 months dependant on the year in question, and agreed union redundancy T&Cs if this had happened - all would more than have covered any payments. Add to this that the mortgage PPI was part of a bundled sales pitch sold at the time of taking out the mortgage which INCLUDED spouse and wife life insurance (and buildings/content insurance) to cover the full mortgage - tbh I am embarrassed I've fallen for the PPI sales, I thought at the time I was being responsible!!!
  10. After years of seeing all the info on ppi reclaiming I never actually really grasped the nettle to go and claim, stupid I know! So brace yourselves: Status so far: 1) 7 bank loans with ltsb with ppi (according to ltsb) dating from 2) ltsb cc - ppi on since 1996 to date. (Low account balances each month averaging 200/month) 3) mbna cc - ppi on since 2001 - high outstanding balances of c£2000 per month for last 5 years 4) Peugeot car finance -ppi on 5) mortgage protection via c&g/ltsb 2001-2006 at £45/month 6) as above from 2006 to date at£82.50/month 7) possible ppi on a new BMW 2008-2011 8) still hunting..... Looking to reclaim on basis of being inappropriate - have had life insurance, full sick pay cover for 9 months (now 2 years full pay), a widows pension if I die in service etc etc etc. This could get interesting.....wish me luck
