You have misunderstood my question. The Royal bank website has a Royworld express transfer as no maximum but my brother was told there was a maximum of 3000 pounds. Is the website correct or the person in the branch?

Sorry for lack of details. My brother has an account with the RBOS(I do not). I want my brother to send a large sum of money to my bank in Japan.(I do not have online banking). I was only looking at their online website. The website says no maximum but my brother was told 3000 limit.

Hi I was looking to send money from the u.k. to japan by express. It says on the online site that you can send any amount of money but when my brother went into the local branch he was told express delivery had a 3000 pounds limit. Which is correct?

Can the Nationwide just close your account without authorization or notification?

Me & the wife have had a joint account since the late 90's. Recently we tried to do a simple money transfer(half our money) from our account into a Tokyo bank account.Instead of doing this the Nationwide closed our account and sent a check through the mail to us!!! Can anybody help?
