  1. I best do something about it then because I'm v close to sorting my financial life out and a CCJ is the last thing I need Thanks.
  2. Hi I seem to recall before the FSA ruling I had about £400 in charges back from this account. I don't really want to go down that route again. I will make a low offer of montly payment if necessary but want to know what recourse they have if I do nothing? I have seen on this site they have a habit of issuing claims via the small claims court and entering new defaults.
  3. Hi Thanks for replies. No it isn't to do with the other post that's a separate matter! The other SAR/PPI thing is a settled debt which was paid in full. This is a Barclaycard from years ago. I was paying £20 per month for about 2 years and prior I made sporadic payments. I think I defaulted at about 6.5k and now owe £3600. It defaulted in 2006 and was no longer on my file from Feb this year. I don't have any other info. The letter is from MKDP and they state that they are now the data controller and have brought an interest in this debt.
  4. Hi Thanks, I will do that through the ICO. My PPI was on the loan as part of the monthly payment. I'm not sure I had it on the CC hence the SAR. Yes have correspondence. First letter sent in March.
  5. Hi I had an Egg Loan and an Egg credit card, I contacted them re claiming for PPI and was referred to Canada Sq. I sent a request and twice they wrote back asking for proof of address as the address they held was not the one I was writing from. I duly sent back the proof and they returned and then nothing. So I sent a SAR and enclosed a £10 cheque, they cash my cheque and wrote again asking for proof of address!! I sent this along with a strongly worded letter and thus far NOTHING! The 40 days have long gone and I'm at a loss of what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.
  6. I had a Barclaycard default which dropped off my credit file at the beginning of this year. As I also bank with Barclays they started to take money from current account and therefore I was paying them £20 per month for a number of years. As far as I'm concerned the default has now expired and so I stopped paying. However last week I received a letter from a DCA saying the account had been transferred to them and I needed to make arrangements to pay or face action. Can you be defaulted etc for the same debt twice? what if I just ignore these letters will it go back on credit file? Thanks for any help.
