    Sorry typo in above post, should read £13000 not £139000!! Thats good to hear! 5 years worth of interst and charges by good old welcome! I had intended to defend the claim but the court date was the day before my wedding(!) was set to go when recieved a phone call that my wifes gran had had a fall. Not good news when all this was going on so I never got to defend the claim. I still have the paper work that IND sent me before the court date with account breakdowns and agreements etc in. Is this a good starting point or would a SAR be of more use?

    hi guys, First Id just like to say what a great forum this is! Hopefully somebody here can help. Had a loan with welcome finance for just under £5000 in 2008. now have a CCJ (although this doesnt show on any of my credit files) for £13k against it with a charging order on my wages for £100 a month. I just wondered if I can still claim back unfair charges and PPI even though it is now a CCJ? Many thanks and keep up the great forum Paint1

    Hi all I recieved a letter from hegarty llp about a month or so ago saying I owe welcome nearly £13000!!! I stopped paying the loan in 2008 due to losing house partner job etc. up until the letter there had been no contact at all. I used templates off your site for a proof to chase debt letter to hegarty and a sar to welcome. Both were sent with the correct monies as mentioned but I had no reply from welcome re the sar and nothing from hegarty until the ccj summons hit the mat. Upon checking my cra there is no entry of a default date of the loan. I have acknowledged summons but now need help with defence. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks
