  1. Hey guys, Had 3 accounts with Lowell - old Vodafone, very old Provi loan and JDW catalogue. I recently got letter from Lowell that due to my circumstances (mental health problems) they will close all the accounts but the defaults will stay on my credit report. Now. I have sent a CCA request regarding loan and catalogue and never got any reply. Am I right to think that now that they actually closed the accounts and never reply to CCA I could somehow get those two defaults removed? How would I go about it? And I take it, no matter what I do or don't do now, Lowell cannot reopen those accounts?
  2. Hello, I was on ESA for a year and then had assessment and they said I no longer qualified. I thought, maybe it's a good thing, and claimed JSA back in May and was looking for work and started Functional skills for maths and English as well. Now after 3 months of being on JSA I had Genuine Prospect of Work assessment. I went for it, they asked me 4 or 5 questions and sent it off to the decision maker who requested additional documents. I sent them over 50 pages detailing my employment history since 2006 (when I first came to the UK from EEA). Turned out I failed the assessment and they stopped my JSA What to do now? Get an explanation and MR?
  3. Well I sent Lowell two CCA requests recently regarding old Provident and JDW accounts and got this letter all of the sudden. I knew from my credit report that I had a third account for telecoms with Lowell, just wasn't sure what it was. I took this out late 2014. It got defaulted Aug 2016.
  4. Hello, So what do I do now? Start paying £1 to Vodafone or does Lowell now actually own this debt? Or do i just leave it as it is for now? I mean, the debt is mine, was defaulted Aug 2016, and I would like to pay it off but can only afford £1/month. Lowell_Vodafone_CAG.pdf
  5. Will do one for JDW and one for Provident. Thanks for all the help so far, dx!
  6. Okay, so got response from EE (Orange). Didn't really tell me much but I take it my details have now been updated: Also got a response to my two CCA requests from Lowell, I hope the pdf file got attached correctly. All it says it's that they need more time to locate Credit Agreement, standard response I suppose. Lowell_CCA.pdf
  7. Okay, got a response from Orange (EE). So do I now have to forward a copy of my deed poll or should that have been sufficient to update my address? Also sent 2 CCAs to lowell (Provi and JDW) 1 CCA to BWLegal 1 CCA to MMF for three Sunny loans
  8. Not Vanquis, I (apparently) have three accounts with Lowell 1. Provident 2. Crazy Clearance 3. Some communication supplier They're sending occasional letters, notices of default, and annual statements
  9. Okay, With Orange I have to email credit report queries department and they will be able to change the address for me. With Natwest I need to pop in to any branch with my ID and they will also be able to change the address. That's in my books for tomorrow. I will also inform Next and Very re: hardship and offer £xx pcm What do i do about the rest of the debts? Do I fire CCA to Lowell x2?
  10. I can't find old Natwest acc number nor client number. Same goes for Orange. Not sure how to write to them now as I changed my address and my name since, how do I identify myself to them? Just by old name and old address? And as for Next and Very, they are current catalogue accounts but Very is already 2 payments behind... Should I just offer both £1 token payment and inform them of being in hardship?
  11. How do I write to Orange and NatWest? Just update with the new address? Or SAR? edit: sorry just read your post properly, but if I write to them updating them, will they not start taking care in my account? And refresh their memory about the account? It's coming off my CR soon, I'm just thinking, do I want to go round stirring things or do I just wait it out? Thanks
  12. Okay, dx - let's go! Sorry it took me so long to reply to this thread, as I said sometimes, due to my mental health, I just shut off and rather not deal with my finances, as it triggers really low moods. So my current credit history is as follows: WAGEDAY - £159 payday loan, default date 08/04/2016 currently paying £1 per month towards it WONGA - £326 defaulted 28/06/2017 currently refereed to BPO for collection I think Elevate - £161, £314 and £154 Sunny payday loan x3, defaulted 07/03/2016 Probably with DCA by now Orange - £330 Defaulted 10/12/2011 Coming off my credit report this year Natwest - £1746 Overdraft, defaulted 22/12/2011 Balance changed both in 2013 and 2014, for a few quid, even though I made no payments at all! Lowell - £1238 This was JDW catalogue, defaulted 02/06/2016 lowell - £153 Not sure what this is, telecom supplier, defaulted 01/08/2016 Lowell - £467 Old provident loan, defaulted 04/02/2013 Next - £133 Current catalogue, minimal payment is £7/month All payments up to date Very - £360 Current catalogue, second late payment recorded Cap1 - £164 Defaulted 04/05/2016 Currently £1 a month payment ..................................................................................................................................................... Closed accounts but still defaulted ..................................................................................................................................................... 3 (telecom) Default £66 registered on 13/04/2016 (satified) T-Mobile Default 10/08/2013 for £31 (satisfied) That's all I can read from my CR. Also there is a payday loan, sold to PRAC (got all paperwork) being chased by BWLegal. I sent CCA to PRAC but they haven't cashed PO and no reply, and now BWLegal are chasing me.
  13. I moved a couple of times but my address is updated with all three CRAs. So all letters eventually find me I'm also 'on top' of my monthly credit reports from noddle and clearscore. A thread for EACH one? That'll be a good 'few' threads :/
  14. They are indeed, not as persistent as they used to though. I have now 3 separate accounts with Lowlife. I might actually start a thread listing all my accounts. I think I need to see the bigger picture because I honestly do not know where I'm going with all this. Do you think that's a good idea, dx? I've been struggling with bipolar for years now, sometimes I just shut down for months and I don't work, don't pay, avoid the contact with the whole world. It all just seems too overwhelming atm...
  15. Well I kinda stopped paying and avoided contact since Nov 2015, when it all got out of hand and I ended up in a dark place (again)... So May '16 seems quite expected for a default i suppose? Sorry to ask dx but what good will it do me to CCA and SAR? Only asking because the debt is mine, I went stupid and overspending and tbh it's £11 that I'd rather spend on rent or food the place I am in now 11 quid is my fortnightly food shopping on a budget... Ohhh I'm just so fed up with it all, it's just one default after another and sometimes I just think what's going on, what the bloody hell is wrong with me to keep repeating same old mistakes. I don't think my CR could get any worse atm, it's really bad...
  16. Hey dx, The account started Apr 2015, defaulted May 2016 and been with Lowell since default.
  17. It defaulted May 2016 and went to Lowell and I haven't made any payments since Nov 2015
  18. Hey guys, I had a Crazy Clearance (JD Williams) catalogue, back in 2015. It defaulted in 2016 and is now with Lowell. Looking back, I kinda cannot believe how month after month my credit line was going up automatically, even though my credit history back in 2015 was rather rubbish! I was thinking if there's any point of complaining or trying to raise this issue as irresponsible lending with OC. Not really sure how or what good could it do now tbh. The history of the account (credit used/credit limit): 2015 APR 101/125 MAY 89/225 JUN 218/325 JUL 367/500 AUG 440/700 SEP 704/1000 OCT 747/1000 and so on until it got out of hand and eventually defaulted... Apr-Sep +£875 credit increase. is there any chance to try the irresponsible lending route? And if yes, then how do I go about it? As always, any help is greatly appreciated
  19. Hello, just an update: I sent CCA request to PRAC on the 9th July, haven't heard anything from them. Today I received a letter from bwlegal representing PRAC with a final request for payment. No mention of CCA or anything. What do I do now?
  20. Hello, One of my old payday loans has been sold to PRAC Financial. I have received the formal notice of assignment. The debt is from 2014 and have never been registered on CR as a default. Since then I have also changed my name via Deed Poll. Now I have three questions and would appreciate some help from fellow CAGers: 1. Do I need to notify PRAC about the name change and send them copy of my Deed Poll? My new name is registered with all three CRAs (I checked). So is that sufficient without sending the copy? 2. As the default has never been registered (only late payments) and the debt is from 2014, will now PRAC just register a default nearly 3 years after and mess up my credit score? Is there any legal time scale as to when a default should be registered or can they register it whenever they please? 3. How to approach this? Should I send PRAC a CCA request with a postal order and just wait for the reply and take it from there? Many thanks in advance for all your help!!
