I am in the same situation, been off from paid work for over 23 years, and like you no medical and put into WRAG. I have just had my first work focused interview, a very nice lady at the Jobcentre told me that most of the long term IB claimants have been put straight into WRAG she said that although they are accepting that you have problems and that you are not capable of work at this time, she thinks that they are just trying to give the easy option and that some will just walk away after their 365 days of payment, getting rid of thousands. The others who appeal are those who need help and who are willing to go through the rigmarol of an appeal. Like you I am going to soilder on, I have sent my appeal papers in and am now waiting. Good luck with yours.

Thank you very much for helping. I will wait for the ESA85A to get here, and as I feel that I meet the support group criteria on not being able to mobilise, then I will write and ask for a review. Thanks again.

My husband is self employed and works full time, so I was of the understanding that I would not get it. Trouble is we live on what I get, I don't think we could put gas or electric on never mind food if I were to loose it altogether.

I think I will as suggested ask for a copy of the medical report. Then I will appeal as advised. Do you think a letter of support from my GP would help my case. Thank you very much.

So is asking for a reconsideration or review no use, do I have to go straight to appeal?

I have requested a statement of reason, but can anyone tell me is that the same as requesting the medical report. I have not had any assessment, just got the form to fill in and then the letter saying WRAG arrived. I cannot walk 50m without stopping and i put this on the form, so I am not sure what they were reading. I have been on IB for 23 years so this is very worring for me, as it is for a lot of people. Any help would be good. Thankyou

I have only just got the forms to fill in this week, I will have to wait and see which group I get put in. It is such a worry. But I will make a note of your comments. Thank you

Thank you for that, you are very informed. Its a help. Thanks again

Can I please ask, on your point about contribution based ESA. How would it work if you have been on IB for over 20 years. Therefore would not have any contributions so to speak.
