My friend goes to university,
When he arrived on site he tried to purchase a parking ticket from the machine
(There is only one machine on this car park) located near tothe entrance, it refused his money,
there was also an error message stating thatit was "not in use".
He apparently was not the only one, other peoplewere also trying to get tickets, but were also refused.
By the time my friend got back to his car, he noticed the fine stuck to the windscreen,
he went to the ticket machine and by the gods it had been fixed.
He also went to the university security office and they fobbed him off saying its a private company sort it out with them.
He knows of at least one other person that received a ticket.
Is this normal practice for these people.
My friend is not sure whether he should just ignore it or respond...
..could someone please give a little advice.
....many thanks
