  1. While i am glad i got no sanction, when i get home and see this in the paper this makes my blood boil. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/politics/4934603/MPs-get-10000-pay-rise.html
  2. Great news squaddie, no sanction, just got off the phone with the job centre and apparently my sanction never even went upstairs to an adjudicator, it went to a team leader down stairs where people sign and he said no sanction, so all is good. I have now also made an appointment for the 5th of June to get my Job search agreement changed so that is better suits my needs, and hopefully this thing does not happen again. Thank you all so much for you help in this matter, you have been great, and a big thank you to Squaddie for replying to all of my posts so fast. cheers mate.
  3. Ok well tomorrow is crunch day i guess and i will find out what is what. I will have to go to my local council if they do follow thorough with the sanction, but i will keep you informed. ty Squaddie, your kinda putting me at ease a little, at least its one little worry off my mind if my HB is not affected.
  4. So i will lose my housing benefit then for 4 weeks if i am sanctioned? Oh great. Just great. This is the 1st time i have ever got into any sort of trouble with the job centre, i have always filled out my job search to the tee, unfortunately this time, i could only put down 6 jobs as there were no more that met my criteria, and i told her this, but she was having none of it. She said i should have found 6 as that was part of my agreement, and i said so what you want me to do, write down 50 jobs all for warehouse work, driving jobs although i have no license, all those kind of jobs i cannot do for medical circumstances knowing full well i will not get them, and she said yes if its to stop this happening again. she had not got a care in the world about doing this to me.
  5. Thank you for clearing that up, you have kind of stopped me from worrying a little over the weekend anyway.
  6. Ok i will do, will keep you informed, thank you very much for your advice. Much appreciated. Reason i am worried though i thought if they stop my JSA they will not pay my housing or council tax benefit either. But ty for replying.
  7. Yes the advisor who signed me today raised the sanction and said it would go upstairs to an assessor who would make a decision this afternoon, and i have to call the job centre on Monday to find out the outcome. So you are saying i can still claim housing benefit? And i will not get into arrears with my rent or council tax? Yes she did mention a hardship payment but tbh her description on the things i can do if i do lose my JSA for 4 weeks was very vague to say the least.
  8. I have today been sanctioned for not putting enough jobs down on my job search, i wrote down 6 instead of 8, so i got sanctioned for 4 weeks. What i want to know is am i still able to claim Housing benefit while i am under sanction and not getting my JSA?
