  1. Actually I did check my status on trustonline and nothing is registred there
  2. Are you saying that I only should be worried if I get letters from the uni or their sollicitors? I am afraid that going through the process of setting it aside, the whole thing will start over and I'll have to wait 6 more years Sorry guy i am not very practical with this, thanks for the patience
  3. If i manage to get it as side, doesn't it stay on my CRA for extra 6 years?
  4. I haven't spoken to them, the claimant is the university of westminster
  5. This all happened in 2008/2009 and I didn't know anything about it. Maybe they sent some letters to the previous address, i moved to my current one 3 years ago. The reason why the have my current address is because I called the sollicitors last april as soon as I found out about this ccj. They wrote an email after a telephone call.
  6. hello guys I have an update on my case, I'd love your opinion please I got back from my holidays yesterday and I found a letter+ call from STA international debt collectors where they show me the options in order to repay my debt. In the afternoon they called me again and after a conversation they sent me this email : "Dear Matteo, I have discussed this case with my Manager. The client - University of Westiminster - has taken this overdue balance to court. It has not completed judgement and therefore no CCJ is enforced as yet - however judgement is currently on hold and failure to resolve this issue with the university may lead to the CCJ being enforced. I would suggest that you contact the Solicitor of this case - Hadfileds & Co (tel 0208 301 0808) to discuss any legal issues. At the same time I would suggest that you also send to us in writing why you dispute this amount - please do this direct with your account handler - If you have any problems with this email please feel free to respond directly to my email. Kind Regards" Because I have more than a year left I am afraid that they will send a bailiff or something..what do you think I should do? I don't want to risk anything legally. I just want to get rid of this ccj on my credit report, that's why i am not paying it ( it will start again for 6 years) shall i just ignore this? Thank you
  7. I see, will I be able to get a mortgage from a bank with a reasonable interest rate after that clears up? Or would I still need to get a ccj mortgage?
  8. Thank you guys for your help! Are you saying that after six years for the banks it's like "nothing" happened? Will I be able to apply for a mortgage or credit card like anyone without a ccj? Thanks
  9. Hello there I found out yesterday that I have a CCJ on my name just by "accident". I subscribed to a CRA just to check my credit score and I saw that It was issued in 2009 and I didn't know anything about it. After few phone calls I realised that it was done because I didn't pay the second instalment of my university course ( I only attended a semester and then quit without notifying them) I never received anything because I changed address few times back then. I read on the internet that a CCJ "expires" after 6 years whether it's paid or not. Is that true? I would like to find out if a non paid CCJ shows on the history as it is very important for me. I would like eventually to get a mortgage and credit, I am self employed and I have no problem in managing my money. I incurred in that silly mistake without knowing how the system worked in the UK. According to this, in my case, it has non sense to pay that as It will show for another 6 years in my record and It will make it difficult to buy a property even if it is satisfied. If I don't pay it and clears off from my credit history, will it be easier for me to improve the credit score? I hope you can help me in clarifying this thank you Matteo
