  1. Hi I received Final Reminder on 12/09/16 and now I have received a letter from DRP - Debt Recovery Plus Ltd dated 28/09/2016 requesting £140 to be paid by 12/10/16. It states the driver is the person liable but liability can be transferred to the registered keeper....blah blah...... ..if we don't hear from you , we'll take this to mean you agree you're liable for it. Then blah blah.............if you don't settle we'll recommend to our client that they take action against you. Then final para is reminder about Supreme Court decision about parking charges.....in November 2015. The print on the NTK letter and Final Reminder is very very small print so I don't think I can scan it to be readable.
  2. Hi well today NTK letter dated 26/08/16 for the ticket dated 27/07/16 requesting £80. I am going away tomorrow so do I just continue to ignore ? I live in Glasgow and the ticket was issued nearby in a retail park in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire Scotland. Thank you for any further advice.
  3. Thank you for your reply. I will sit back and see what junk comes through the post. I am not a dishonest person so felt quite sick when this happened, being a genuine disabled person with a genuine disabled badge.
  4. If the driver is identified (not sure how though?) then as the 14 days has lapsed, the penalty will increase from £40 to £80. I know the laws in Scotland are different and there is no POPLA up here for appeals. I am more worried about a bad credit score mark that someone else had mentioned being found on their credit score. Thank you
  5. Hi, yesterday I was issued with a PCN for parking in a disabled space without clearly displaying a disabled badge. I have a disabled badge but it had slid from the dashboard to down the side of the dashboard. I was distracted when parking and had realised it had slid down the side. I have read lots of threads on here and am totally confused. Should I hold my hands up and admit it wsnt displayed clearly or defend the claim. My nissan note has a small side window that would have shown the badge had slipped down the side but I doubt this is clearly displayed. The disabled bat was clearly marked with signage etc. This was at Faraday Retail Park Coatbridge ML5 3SQ. Many thanks for your advise
  6. I am trying to help a friend who received their EAS50 form dated 1st December for a deadline of 1st January 2016 to be returned. My friend has a complex medical history including mental health and the benefit advisor hurriedly completed the form as he finished work for Christmas and New Year on 17th December, The main hospital consultant who co-ordinates healthcare is providing a supportive letter but this has been delayed as his secretary retired and it has waiting in a pool of secretaries at a hospital and the consultant is also on holiday, I rang DWP and they were not supportive at all. The 1st is a Friday and public holiday and in Scotland they have 1 and 2bd as public holidays. Can any advice me what other action I can take. This is a migration from IC to ESA and I have been told by other the deadline is strict and my friend could get their current benefits stopped. A little panic given little time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. They letter maybe ready on 29th but might not be signed off by the consultant. Many thanks
  7. Thank you for your reply. They have paid off most of their other debts now so higher repayments would not be an issue. Its more will a lender allow a conversion to a full repayment.
  8. Hi I am trying to obtain some help for some close friends who naively accepted a 100% interest only mortgage about 8 years ago with no capitol repayment plan put in place. They bought the property in Scotland at peak price period. It is a sought after area outside Glasgow 5 min walk to a station with a 15 min commute into Glasgow City Centre. The area has been a low turnover in regards to property sales but downside has been an elderly population who have lived there all their lives. Over the last five years a significant number of properties have hit the market from deceased or elderly moving into homes. Some of these properties have required significant modernisation due to the older generation not updating the properties. This has led to average prices falling and bargain prices on those properties. Naturally most have been modernised now but this has impacted on local values in terms of a falling average sale price. Basically my friends need to rid themselves of the interest only mortgage but are concerned if they approach the lender who discovers there is no capitol repayment plan in place it will have a negative impact and could result in the mortgage being called in. The have had hefty loan and credit card debts putting children through education but now the children have left home and work, they have concentrated on paying off these debts. There is no question they can afford to make the repayments on a standard repayment mortgage given the amount of other debts they have cleared. The downside is the property is in negative equity and a general read through the internet does not off much hope on them being able to remortgage. Loan aprox £135k value of property £100-£120k depending on valuation. They are in need of replacement windows and a new kitchen and possible rewiring which may impact on any valuation. I guess I am seeking any opinion that may help me to guide them. Sorry for the long post but any advice would be helpful. I think the broker who sold the product didn't reinforce advice about capitol repayment.
  9. I agree this is unlikely to happen but just getting enough people to sign it i.e over 100,000 will be sending a message. The trouble with e-petitions is that there are often too many that vary but are on the same subject and cannot be consolidated.
  10. Why is everything so secretive. But that's seem the norm these days
  11. Nice one. I have a few friends in the same position. These organisations are only in it for the money. You could open a whole can of worms if you went public. Hope you find employment soon.
  12. Thank you all for your advice. I guess with the first person at the BDC being tad abrupt sort of made me feel guilty for asking. Maybe she was stressed that day and I will try again. Thank you all for your comments
  13. I have also signed this but it does need a much higher profile airing to get the public to back it and sign it - the only issue I have is that my hospital consultant is very good and acts more like GP. My actual GP just issues prescription that he is told to by my various consultants.
  14. Hi I have two questions that I hope someone can help me with 1. I was awarded ESA SG in Sept 2013 without any interview/assessment (I did have previous advice from this forum). I have not been told how the decision was made and the time/length of the award. My Benefit Advisor told me to ring and ask for a particular form or something but the DWP Person on the phone was a bit abrupt and just said I would only need that form for appeal and said I can be reviewed at anytime. Im in Glasgow and my turnaround time was within 6 weeks and a total surprise. Just don't know how I was awarded it points wise etc. I didn't want to push it just in case it triggered an unwanted review so let it drop. Since then my sister and brother have both been told in their award letters the award period. So I feel a bit in limbo. Stupid I know but I hate the unknown. Should I be asking for anything in writing? 2. I thought migration from IB/SD to ESA was to be completed by April 2014. A friend of mine is worried senseless just waiting for the letter to drop through the letter box because they have not heard anything. I know there are delays etc but I cannot find anything that states the April deadline is to be extended. Any advice will be appreciared
  15. Sorry I know this is only a minor thing, but have those entitled to this £10 received it? I get high rate DLA and in ESA Support Group but had no letter or payment.
  16. Give this guy a break, he is only job searching or signing on. I have been in three JCP offices in Scotland and you see women old and young wearing what I would called bright coloured pajamas in fur boots and guys in track suits and hoodies. Some not all though, look like they just got out of bed. Not heard any comments on dress code while I have been there - I know they were giving out Matalan vouchers for people to get clothes for interviews earler this year! All I would say is this may not be the forum or audience to debate an issue like this - take advice from a Gay Rights Forum or Group. THT have benefit advisors etc
  17. Just wanted to add, I don't want ESA if I get the pension so I never have to face or deal with them again
  18. Hi, I know this is an old thread but I am looking for advice. I was recently awarded ESA contributory in support group - rang DWP and they would not tell me the length of award and refused to send me the decision details as they said it was only needed for appeals. the added I could be reviewed at any time. Anyway after a chat with old work director and pension advisory service, I approached my former employer RBS about an ill heath pension. Emailed them a copy of my ESA50, award letter, consultants letter and to my surprise got an email today saying "Your application for ill health has been approved and a retirement quotation will be sent out to you by the end of this week". I was told that the RBS final salary scheme pay out on ill heath grounds as if you had worked till 60. I have searched the internet and read the comments on this site but I am confused what happens to the ESA claim/award if I go ahead and take up the pension which could be worth anything from £250 up to £400 a week depending if there is a lump sum option. (based on my 2012 pension forecast) I do not want to ask the DWP given they where unhelpful with the ESA award and my local CAB are unable to assist as they are swamped with other ESA & Benefit claims which I fully understand. Had I known the pension option was there 8 years ago I would have not gone through the ESA stress. Any guidance would be appreciated regards Stig
  19. Totally agreed. Everyone deserves help regardless of what mistakes they have made especially those who hold there hands up. Everyone has done something wrong at one point in their life - taken a pen home from the office etc Anyway to the issue in hand - Do you have online banking? You can print off old statement or transaction histories from there. My sister had a similar problem she just didn't spend her benefit money and it would build up and build up. She has never smoked, drunk alcohol, gets fed and watered at Day Hospitals and all the other instituations she attends. I have to laugh her CPN would take her shopping to buy new clothes and try to make her spend money but she would fight and go to jumble sales and pay pennies for things. It was her CPN and Social Worker who deal with her benefits and she only gets what she is entitled to but still it build up if she doesn't spend. Wish I could live on £10 a week!!!
  20. Libraries will not be happy with people hogging PCs for 35 hours - that would prevent access to others - I wonder if the JCs know who has internet !! Bet there are some quick trick questions to catch u out - I know they look at facebook and other social media sites
  21. Totally agree and once your tied up with that system they can tell exactly what your doing or not doing - a friend I know is on it all the time and she struggles when her leccy runs out and kids to look after -there are very real Health and Safety issues - don't know if they can force you to go to these work scheme things and make you sit there for 35hrs if you don't have internet access. Has anyone explored H&S issues???????? Hope you get some good luck mate
