  1. Thanks. I've read through all of the other posts on here, I've sent various emails to the company and just don't want it to go to court, I don't know if they will bother taking it that far, just didnt want to risk it!
  2. I was wondering if somebody could help me! On the 31st January this year myself and my partner booked a room in the travelodge in cardiff along with some friends. We booked the room as it was my partners birthday and we were going out to town. We had a drink in our room along with our friends and that evening my partner was ill (so we didnt actually make it to town!). He was sick on the bed, I took the sheets off the bed and rinsed them out in the shower and on the quilt. A month after staying in the hotel I received a letter from the civil recovery company stating that I owe £272 for damage to the room. I fully understand that the room needs to be cleaned and maybe they would've had to throw the sheets away, but I feel that the cost is extremely high. The hotel is located right in the centre of Cardiff and many people I know stay in the hotel after going out to town in the evening, therefore i doubt whether this is the first time that someone has been sick in the rooms! I wrote to the company and they stated that these charges included a deep clean and the room was offline for a while. I have told the company that I am willing to pay any cleaning costs, but think that this is quite ridiculous for a few sheets and a quilt! I also only paid £19 to stay in the room, therefore the following night was the same price. The company also stated that the price of the deep clean was £214? I just wondered if anyone else thinks that this seems a little over priced considering the room is very small and it was only 2 sheets and a quilt that was "damaged" as they put it! Thanks, Rebecca
