  1. If it was to clear it, then it would update on my credit file as a satisfied defaulted debt in April 2013 and stay there until April 2019, right? Or not?
  2. I have sent off my SAR to Welcome. If and when it comes back with lots of fees, what do I do then, as the last thing I want to do is acknowledge the debt and reset the default date to 6 years.
  3. Now I'm confused... you said Did you use the link to switch between open and closed accounts? As in the ones you have paid off will be in the closed accounts section.
  4. Does a response to a SAR usually include the details of who the debt has been sold to, if applicable?
  5. I assume they do yes, mark another default every month you miss a payment. Did you use the link at the top to switch from open accounts to closed accounts?
  6. I am personally disappointed with Equifax and Experian. After paying £6.99 a month for 2 years to Equifax, and £14.99 to Experian today, I have realised that Noddle hold a lot more information on my accounts than the 2 of them put together. I'm not sure where Noddle get their second hand information from as people say, because it certainly can't be from Equifax or Experian!
  7. Took the plunge, called them. If anyone else is wondering who 1st Credit might have bought their debt from, for me it was QuickQuid.
  8. In 2011 I paid off a debt which had been sold to 1st Credit Limited. Thing is, I can't remember who the original creditor was. I am in the middle of trying to sort my debts, so I just want to make sure I don't end up paying the debt again, either to the original creditor or to another company which it might have been sold to (I have had in the past, 2 debt companies chasing the same debt!! Not uncommon either, read it on forums too where other people have had the same problem). Probably a stupid question, but I don't know the answer so am going to go ahead anyway! I am planning to call 1st credit, and ask them to confirm who the original creditor was, but will this reset the date for the last time acknowledged, and reset the clock to 6 years? Thanks
  9. Well that was a waste of time and £15. Experian shows less than Noddle.
  10. This is really irritating me. I'm going to pay the £15 to get my Experian report, in the hope it will shed some light.
  11. Latest unpaid defaulted account is Jan 2010 Latest paid defaulted account is Sept 2011 I am trying to match them using the figures on my open accounts and the figures on my closed accounts. I am assuming that if an account is open with a debt agency, then it would be closed with the original creditor but unfortunately the figures don't match up. Yes i would like a clear file. And i don't think I can wait until September 2017! Just not sure how to get around it
  12. Any ideas about how I can find out who the original creditor was?
  13. I think i might have just missed some payments sometimes though, rather than agreeing to roll it over, will i be entitled to any refunds? Thanks
  14. Nothing is older than 6 years. The oldest 1 is November 2007.
