My wife and I bought a house about 16 months ago. Not long after we moved in we started getting the phone calls (on the landline) for the previous owners partner. At first I accepted this and decided not to bother. About 3 weeks ago I lost the plot at the Vanquis phone jockey and decided that the threat of the police and FSA might work. I was told that the person named on the account had used our landline number to call 2 months previously. I asked her to check their records and they would see it was me calling them in order to shout and generally let off steam. Today Impact called. I asked if they were a debt collection agency and was told " I can't tell you that" I replied "fine, Google is my friend" I also said that I wanted his name, team number, extension, and a return telephone number. IU got all thisinformation, although he seemed very surprised that someone knew to ask for this. He has spoken to another dept. to get my number removed. He called me back within 10 minutes to assure me that this had been done. I said that I hoped for his sake it had been, as vicarious Liability would see him personally and the company jointly and severally liable for the distress, lost sleep, and general harassment caused by these phone calls.
