  3. Email received today. I get several of these every week!Formal NOTICE OF LEGAL ACTION: unless we hear from you within 7 days on 0113 8876876. We will rely upon this SMS when legal costs arise. MMF Ref........ Are they charging me for every text they send. I wish they would take me to court.
  4. I haven't but I'm sure I will get more messages today! I tried dealing with them ages ago but they won't accept any offers. Despite threats, they have never showed up here.
  5. I got two messages on.my voicemail today. One referring to themselves as "doorstep collectors" and the other asking me to book an appointment to avoid the embarrassment of arriving unannounced. I also answered the phone at work and there was an automated message asking me to make an appointment or they would arrive at my home or work unannounced. This is all.despite me emailing ages ago asking them to contact me in writing only and stating I do not want a home visit and will consider this an invasion of privacy. If I can find the emails then I will copy them in here. They call using numerous different numbers.
  6. No but I threatened to. I was just happy to get all my money back.
  7. Sorry for the delay in updating. I got a full refund at the end of April after waiting a while to get it sorted. CFO took a couple more payments after my complaint but these got refunded the same day after I advised the back to refuse them. Stick to your guns people and quote the law as they don't seem to always follow it!
  8. I'll keep you posted on what happens. If I don't get the required response then I will be complaining to the FOS and should get money back that way but I'd rather have it back sooner.
  9. I should also get the first lot of payments back too? I did not knowingly supply my card details to CFO.
  10. Thanks. I sent a letter to this effect and RBS said they will respond by 4th April. In the mean time I have a little money coming in over the weekend but am worried CFO will attempt to take it! The bank know I have not consented to this.
  11. Last payday, CFO took about £500 out of my account. My loan with them was paid back via an old debit card, from a different bank. I can only assume they got my card details from a third party. RBS were very unhelpful at first, stating that because I owe them money, they can take what they want! I am disputing what they have taken anyway as it is way more than capital and a month's interest. They took further payments following me ringing them. The card dispute team agreed to "put a monitor on the card" and said they would check my account monthly. They promised me that no more payments would go to them. Well guess what? They have taken another £288 out of my account on the 27th March! I'm still waiting the outcome of the complaint I made (in writing), which they have said they will respond to by 4th April. I sent the guidelines on debit card payments with the complaint, as I don't think they seem to abide by them. I'm also contacting card disputes again tomorrow. What happens next? Do I have to wait until RBS "monitor" the account and will they then refund the money? Anyone had success with this bank? I am sure I will get some or all of the money back, but is this going to be a fight or not?
