  1. Yes it was with mbna but idem sorted it out for my direct debit to go over to them. "How lovely and helpful of them" this is my last debt tho so I just want it gone out of my life as its just a reminder all the time that I messed up when I was young. And as I say nov next year it comes of my credit file. Yay!
  2. I am paying £17 pm towards this debt. When I CCA them will that prove who owns the debt? I'm almost sure they do as I had a letter from mbna saying they had sold it the a few days later another from idem servicing "welcoming" me. I seriously hate debt collectors
  3. Oh really? Do I have to fill one d those in? Iv also read on hear not to pay a debt collection agency? But if they own the debt surely I have no choice? Can any one advise on this? Thanks
  4. That's great, thank you. I'll get that out next week. I'll let you no how I get on.
  5. Hi I posted on hear a while ago about my debt being sold to idem from MBNA. I want to do a full and final settlement offer. So I'm after all info you can all give me on doing so. My debt to them is just under £1000. What would you all think is a suitable offer? My default that mbna will be off in November 2014. What can I do to make sure they don't change this? Or any other info you all have for me would beach appreciated. Thanks guys.
  6. My credit card debt has been sold to idem servicing this was in december 2012. I owe £1000 and want to do a full and final settlement. I don't mind paying this debt as I did default and do owe it. But I want to make sure I do it properly. So have you all got any tips on what to do first. Where to start?

  9. [edit]. I did phone national debt line just to see what they said and the guy there rekons he would be very surprised if we even hear back from them again. Surely it's wrong to just pluck an amount out of the air and send letters to ppl saying they owe it.
  10. If just re read your reply. I had to pay the collection company as next wouldn't deal with me any more.
  11. Oh no I didn't pay it. I told him that the debt was settled last year and I have the letters to prove it. He just said he would update his system. And If they needed any more info they would be in contact.
  12. Right just called next and the man I spoke to just said he will put it on his system that I have letters showing balance as zero. He said they will contact me if they need any more info. So fingers crossed this will be the end of it. Thank for all your help every one.

  14. Hi thanks for your response, this is stressing me out, next. Yes iv got certificate and confirmation letter from Lewis group stating my balance to there client is £0.00. I did get a discount but not a huge one for partial settlement. Can next then try and claim the discount I got? Thanks again
  15. Ok, so iv called next collections this morning. And they cannot help me. I must call the number on the letter. This all seems very strange to me.
  16. That's exactly the same letter I got. Called next and the phone number the guy gave me is different to the one on the letter?. Very odd. But I'v been reading on hear and some ppl are saying if next didn't sell the debt over then the can still make a claim for the full lot of money? I bloody hope not I'v paid the debt collection agency alt of money in settlement. I'm gonna call them in the morning and see what they have to say

  19. I have the partial settlement in writing from the debt collection company. Then I also have a letter telling me that payment has been accepted and I should write to the court to get the ccj removed?. I have no idea how any of this works.
  20. Help needed please. I got into trouble years ago and next sold my debt to a collection agency. I had a ccj with it to. I made a partieal settle ment to the agency and paid the cort to remove my ccj. I have a copy of this. I today recieved a letter saying I owe next the above amount. This is the "discount" the agency gave me. Can next do this? Thanks for your time
  21. Really? Thanks fantastic then if it just does one. Lol. I didn't take out the ppi thing with any of my cards so I can't claim any of that thank you so much for you help. This is a great site. Your all putting my mind at rest.
  22. I am still payingy monthly payment of £20. The "nice" ppl of idem took my direct debit over. I "need not do anything" how lovely of them!. I only owe £900 I am looking to do a full and final settlement, if they will. But I don't no how long it will take me to save some money to offer them. But having read through hear I don't hold out much hope that they will play ball. I do want to settle this debt. As its my last one. But I want to make sure it comes off my file. I don't want to wait and then end up paying after nov and reset it on my file. Thanks for all your replys. I appreciate all your help.
  23. Hi . I defaulted on my credit card in 2007, it has recently been sold from MBNA to idem servicing, I am now wanting to get the account settled as I do not want to be owing these ppl. Am I right in thinking that after 6 years the default will be wiped off my credit file? As this is due to happen in November this year, so does that mean I have to get this debt payed before then to get it completely cleaned off my file, or will it still come off in November even if I pay idem after that date? Or will it reset on my credit file if I pay it in say December and then stay on my file for another 6 years? I hope that all makes since.
