  1. well done rebel and a big thankyou, got a phone call today from chief executive seceraty to apologise and there won't be any fees for the cancellation, what a lovely lady its nice when people take the time to ring and say thankyou for your services and apologise for any misunderstanding, well done virgin media and thankyou for all your replies
  2. thanks for details, that's what I am going to do, just wondering what the cancellation fees are for, I mean been in same property for 13 years so no installation fees so in my mind its classed as unfair charges, im prepared to take this all the way, I will even put it in dispute until they drop there charges, just don't need this hassle when moving, but yes I will send the first email and see how I get on, will let you know thankyou for your response
  3. hi everyone need help, we are moving house in 3 weeks and my broadband and phone provider are with virgin, just rang to transfer services but was told no virgin services in area and they want 108 pound because I am ending my contract even though I have been with virgin for last 18 years, they said I renewed contract over phone even though I did not sign because I rang them over price increase all though they were charging new customers a lot less, they reduced my monthly bill, I still have 3 virgin mobile which I would like to keep but if I have to pay this I will cancel these as well, what are my rights over this matter any help please
  4. bought a sofa from csl, who offer interest free credit from creation.co.uk, want to pay on my credit card because it offers protection if anything goes wrong with sofa, I will be ringing my credit card company up to see what there rate is for making a transaction, is there anything I can do if they are going to charge this amount.
  5. I thought the government brought new guidelines in so retailers can only charge you a small percentage, does anyone have any info on this. I want to purchase goods for 2000 on my credit card and they are charging me 4 per cent that's 100 quid yet it states its an adminstation charge, but they only charge 3 pound for debit card, I thought it was about 1.9 per cent on purchases over 1000, any help please.
  6. Well just heard back from hillies and thanks DX, did as you requested. Their reply was sorry if you think we have misinformed you in any way, but the capped balance is a reduced amount of the debt. we actually bought your debt for 13,000 (yeh cause you did) because we have already offered a reduction we cannot accept your offer of 300. You have until the 28th of this month to make a payment of 44 or we will have to recover the full amount. its not that bad only owe 1044 now and not the 10,000 like they were asking for. So i will carry on paying 44 a month should have it paid off in 2 years then they can go and get stuffed, ha ha, oh yeah i will make payments each month but not by direct debit like i did before, i will do over internet or telephone banking, anyway would like to thank everyone for there kind and supportive information, thanks guys.
  7. FANTASTIC, never thought of that, will get the letter sent off tomorrow, will let you no what they say.
  8. They just did a breakdown of the 7,500, which is what i thought i owed, now should i write to them telling them that my mother will lend me 300 to pay the debt off, and would they accept this as a final payment or do you think its a bit low, i didnt think that they could ask for an expenditure form.
  9. My husband put his grievance letter in, and the main boss wanted to speak to him. His reply was he should never have been moved and that he will move him back into his department, he said it was hr that have done this as they are doing risk assesments in his department due to the ongoing work claim, and he couldnt see why he wasnt allowed to be there. Anyway he is off for a week, and asked my husband if it was alright to stay put until he got back from holiday and he would then sort it out, so my husband is being calm and awaiting monday for his return, hopefully everything will be ok, i think its the grievance letter he put in that has made them take action, i will let you no what happens.
  10. Hi everyone Just heard back from hillsdens, they sent me my credit aggreement and its now saying i owe 1044. Should i write back asking for early settlement figure, or ask them if they would accept maybe 300 upfront to write the debt off, what do you guys think.
  11. Hi everyone My husband as worked for a company for 14 years with no problems, good attendance and so on. 2 years ago because of cut backs they made the job more demanding without doing a risk assesment, so basically my husband had an injury nothing was done about it, so put in for a industrial injury claim that is nearly being settled. He has seen work doctors who said he can carry on in his own department as long as he has suffience breaks and so so. Well again they are doing cut backs they have gone from shifts to days which they are allowed to do. Then all of a sudden his manager was having problems trying to cut back on the setters, there is only 3 of them, my husband being 1 of them, he was trying to come up with a plan, which was not in there contract, when my husband approached on this, his manager reply was well we will have to get rid of 1. Then the next day my husband received a letter stating that he is being moved to another department because he was only just aware that he had put a claim in for industrial injury, yeah cause it was! I t was the duty care of the company to do this. So now he has lost his shift allowance and his setters rate and the job he is now doing is even harder than the 1 before, and he is still having problem with his injury which occured 2 years ago. He has now but a grievance letter into hr saying he is being discrinimated against and wants to be put back into his old job, he has evidence through his solictor that they knew about this problem over a year ago, so why now, are they allowed to do this, my husband will take this all the way if possible, any comments would be grateful, thankyou
  12. The SAR barclays have sent me is the only information they hold, which is contained in the file ive uploaded, according to barclays they haven't got any more information regarding this, the lady i spoke to said they only keep information for 6 years, so do you think it worth asking hillsdens to SAR them, even though i know there is no more information regarding the repossesion. You no the best thing is ive being paying this bloody debt for the last 12 years and dont even no what they sold the house at, why is everything is life so complicated, i ask barclays for a SAR and they send me a load of jumbled up figures, and i ask hill billies for a cca and send me a load of crap still saying outstanding balance of nearly 11,000, whats up with everyone!
  13. Yes thats what i thought i owed, but why does it state in the file that hillsdens bought the debt of woolwich in 2006 for 13,333.96 and that i still owe 10,437,98, ive been trying to ask them for years why i owe this much, when the capped balance is 7,500, any ideas anyone
  14. Hi, can someone please have a look at the files ive uploaded on this page, and let me no what you think, any help would be fantastic, thanks very much.
