*Her lol But yes I was thinking this myself, definitely worth considering if that be the case. Three years with no convictions or failure to disclose any other issues etc? Far too dodgy it seems.

Yeah 33, that would be most helpful, I acknowledge that it doesn't make anyone immune from these people but if it can get them to back off a little bit and not waste my time anymore while I'm trying to seek employment, it would be awesome at this stage! Edit: Thanks to Bakatcha for the details as well, any more advice on the issue from 33 or anyone else would be most helpful. Thanks to everyone for the advice and encouragement, it's more than I get from Ingeus, which is the most shameful aspect of all this!

Well, some of you might have seen my despairing post in the last page, about how much they waste our time? Yesterday just took the cake though. As I stated they wanted me to see an adviser in their building so they could discuss a potential contact center job. This building is a lot further away from my local ingeus building, so after spending the morning getting ready, hair done etc, bus travel for 40-45 minutes just to get there, only to be told to my face that because I've already worked in this particular place a couple of years ago, I can't apply again for 3 years since last working there. I waited half an hour to be seen to after the travelling just to be told this. I honestly felt like crying. I'm clearly doing my bit, but they're not even meeting me halfway. Not even a quarter of the way! They just don't give a damn! so that was that, another 40-45 minutes back down the road for nothing. I've had enough now. Can anyone confirm that removing data protection will make them leave you alone a bit more? I'm strongly considering it. Not just after yesterday's events but because of numerous reasons. one of them being I don't like being stalked after securing employment for 2 years. whether they help me land a job (unlikely) or not. Another reason being that this persistent time wasting of theirs is hindering my job search significantly. That was a good few hours yesterday down the drain when I could have been seeking employment!!! Once more, sorry for the rant, I know many of you are going through the same thing but no one really understands if they haven't been in that position before, you guys have. It's depressing

And people actually think the unemployed want to stay unemployed with this garbage? Laughable. If they're not dragging our backsides to these meaningless patronising classrooms where nothing is being done but playing games, they're offering us jobs which we don't have the necessary skills or confidence to do the job efficiently. Just last week my adviser tried to offer me retail jobs. Which there's nothing wrong with except I've never once said to them that I wanted retail work. I've never had any experience in retail work. I've always said to them that call center work is where I'd thrive in the most. If not, then admin jobs would be a great alternative. But no, once you've been on their books for a while and there's no success in the job field that you're seeking to get into, they want rid of you ASAP, even if it's a job you don't want. The entire thing's a mess. Between having us come in to look through jobs on the computer (even if we already do that online anyway) and having us perform like circus animals for them by playing stupid, time wasting games with a group of strangers, and throwing jobs at us we don't want or can't do. Or forcing us to work for employers without being paid a penny by them while we're being used as free labor. Or shifting us into temporary work, where we'll be back to square one again when the temporary contract is up. People will say I'm being picky, but why should I be forced into applying for a job that I have no experience or desire or confidence to be in? Why should a forklift driver for example, be forced into applying for call center work when he hasn't done it once in his life? It's an utter disgrace.

less than a couple of weeks ago they wanted me to have a telephone interview...in another Ingeus building further away from my residential location, which only took less than a few minutes to pass. Says it all that I spent more time in WHSmith and HMV afterward than I actually was in their building participating in this telephone interview that I could easily have done at home, rather than have my time completely wasted and trudging through the snow at the time just for a telephone interview that I was always going to pass (I've had many contact centre jobs before so telephone manner is never an issue for me) that only lasted a few minutes (max). Do these people actually delight in wasting our time? Before that, they had me go to this other Ingeus building just so one of the advisors there could tell a group of us about a particular job. No interviews, no group assessments, no direct contact from the employer themselves, just an adviser discussing this with a group of us. Many of the group who attended had never had a stint in call center Jobs in their lives but they still found themselves there. Do these people even take our skills into account? So many of them would never survive in a call center because they never had the telephone manner or necessary skill to do that particular job, so what the hell were they doing there?! :s It's almost like they seek as many ways as possible to fill their own time even if it's a waste of ours. Madness. Sorry for the rant, I just got an email claiming they want me in that same alternative Ingeus building, a lot further from the local one just so I have an 'Interview' with another one of their advisers. I'm sick to death of these people.

Dreading going here on tomorrow -.- Especially with the predicted snowfall! No one can quite relay their disgust with this place, and many (not all) who work there. Last time I was waiting to be seen, there was an advisor chatting on the phone with someone who was clearly taking details off of them about where they just secured employment. After the conversation, she hangs up the phone, punches the air with her first and declares 'YES!!'...Now call me suspicious but I hardly doubt that outburst of joy was for the wonderful news that the individual in question secured employment (good luck to them...they'll need it if ingeus are badgering them for the next 24 months even after they land a job) and it was more for the fat bonus she secured for herself. whether she did help the individual (doubtful) in getting the job or not, that was pretty Disgusting. Further highlights that we are mere prized cattle to these people.

At least most of you are only required to come in once a fortnight. I have to go in every week! I had to go twice last week, one was a standard appointment with an advisor which is patronising enough but then they wanted me to come in again the next day so I could basically just apply for one particular job they wanted me to apply for…which is fair enough, but why ask me to come in for just that reason?! Now I’ve had the job centre today, and I have a standard one to one with an Ingeus advisor tomorrow AND they want me to come in again on Thursday just to conduct a telephone interview with the job I applied for last week that I could easily and preferably do in the quiet and peaceful environment of my home! What the **** is the point?! I have not one problem applying for jobs, I counted between 30-40 contact centre positions that I applied for last week alone. The issue I’m having is my time being wasted for travelling a far distance just to apply for one job and to have a telephone interview the next day that I could easily do away from the rotten atmosphere of the building
