  1. They have defnitely been transferred/sold to debt collection agencies. None were prior to 2007 all in around that time. I know that payplan now pay the debt collection agencies for these debts. Would that have any bearing on whether i got anything back from them?
  2. Thanks so much for responding. I was actually thinking of going ahead without the SAR and just using the account details i have here. Would it be ok to do that? DMP is with Payplan. Both cards have been forwarded to Debt Collection Agencies. The Bank of Ireland one has gone to a group Redcastle/Gothia i think their name is. The Aqua one is now with First Credit. Would this have any bearing on what i could claim?
  3. Hi there, I thought i would ask on here as everyone was so helpful before when i had a problem with my bank. I had PPI insurance on a credit card from Bank of Ireland starting from around 2007 for about 3 years. I do remember at the time as it was my first credit card i had no clue and i recall on the phone the lady being very pushy about me taking it out and of course i was that desperate at that time to get the card that i agreed to it. I do remember it was a hefty amount over the years as i held quite a large balance on the card. I had another with Aqua credit card which again i felt pressurised into but besides from that if i had have been out of work my employer would have paid me adequate sick pay anyway so it was pointless money i was paying. I did try and cancel it on the phone a few times as i was entering into a debt management plan. This never happened and it was maybe the third time on calling that i got it cancelled. Again it was quite a hefty amount every month. I am considering now trying to claim this back from both Bank of Ireland and Aqua. I know there is so much information on it here and apologies for coming on to ask something so trivial but i wanted to know is there much information i would need before starting this claim. i do have both account numbers and a rough estimate of when i took them out. Is this enough to use to send a letter or should i be sending the questionnaire initially. I dont have any policy details etc only the account numbers of the credit cards and i know there was defnitely ppi on both. Has anyone any advice on where i should start with both of these? I do know that as i am on a dmp at present that the money if was successful would go off that but i wouldnt mind that. I really just want to get the ball rolling and im not great at these types of things so i would be very very grateful if someone wouldnt mind helping me out. Thanks very much in advance
  4. Im the same no card yet. Got the pin last saturday but no card. Phoned them today and they said i should have it monday at latest. Hopefully thats not gonna be another problem.
  5. Im defnitely gonna go forward with this as its disgraceful behaviour. Im still awaiting my new debit card and its a pain. ERG have you got yours yet?
  6. This is terrible. My take on it though was that it was Lasker who have debited the amounts and not capital? (I know it is capital essentially) but have they used Lasker to debit them? Surely if we all make complaints then there is proof that this was not a mistake but that they are deliberately using the name of another company to sypher funds from our bank accounts. Surely this is a police matter? Its theft no matter what way its dressed up.
  7. I will be keeping a close eye on my account in case they try to set it up again. Il have the standing order details pmed to ya tomorrow im half asleep now. Too many sleepness nights worrying about this. Again thanks a million it was easier having someone else in same boat. Also thanks all of you for helping you made things so much easier. This forum is a great help
  8. I have their account details if you wish to set up a standing order. U just need your own reference for them and set up your own standing order that way they have no access to your account. I can give them to you if you want
  9. Thanks for that i know totally how you feel as we have both had this nightmare together. Hopefully all will work out and we will have to keep a good eye on our accounts from now on to make sure they dont try to re set up direct debit details. I will pay my account to capital in £10 per month standing orders. I certainly will not be allowing them my account details again
  10. Thats disgraceful. Honestly get back on to them and let them know you made them aware of this 6 days ago. It is not good enough
  11. It should be in by now if mine is as they both happened at same time. The 48 hours is up today. Keep at them if it isnt in by close of business today.
