  1. It could well have been a mobile contract thinking about it.I took out a couple when i was younger.I paid off the one about 8 years ago so i guess this would be the other one.No payments have ever been made towards it and no contact has been made until now,so it must come under statute barred as you first mentioned.
  2. Thanks for all your help,if any further letters come from them i will send the general debt letter to them.I am so glad to have found this great forum
  3. Thanks. No letters have turned up mentioning ccj's just one threatening court action if i didnt pay this £400 to them. I do find it strange that they never mentioned who the money was owed to though. When i had letters in the past for other debts, the company i owed money to was always mentioned.
  4. Any debts i have had are in my old name,so im guessing i check credit files with the old name? I got married 4 years ago and i go under my married name now.
  5. Thank you, it defiantly hasn't been acknowledged for 6 years plus. Because letters have suddenly turned up out of the blue, she is obviously worried and as i said, accusing me of things i know i haven't done. Its put a strain on our relationship to say the least.
  6. About 10 years ago i was in debt. I haven't heard anything since, but the other day my nan got a letter in my old name from lowell group demanding £400, no mention to who it was owed to. My nan has phoned them and said i havent lived there for at least 7 years and the woman she spoke to said they would amend the details. Will there be any further contact from them now and can they chance up a debt from 10 years ago and not even say what its for? I cant think of anyone who i owe money to after all this time. My nan today rang me up saying shes worried that baliffs will knock on her door now and shes accusing me of getting loans and sending them to her when i haven't done anything of the sort. Can anyone help?
