  1. Hi all, regarding Safestyle Double Glazing... I saw an advert on TV and thought I'd ring them. They were very polite initially, then the rep arrived and measured up for some bifolding doors. The rep gave me a price in writing, which was very high, he then spoke to his boss over the phone and said he could do the job for much less. He proceeded to write out a written quote for £1200 and I agreed on the price. He said the surveyor would be back with the contract. He never came back. I then telephone Safestyle to confirm whether they would be out to do the proper measurements and to sort the contract out and they said that they could no longer do the job for that price, and subsequently added an extra £300 on top. They arranged a date to come out but never turned up. I phoned them again, and they said the same thing, this time increasing the price by another £400. I was outraged. I then asked to speak to a manager and the person speaking told me that if I telephone them again the price would increase to £2100. Not a very good way of treating your customers! If I receive a written quote, am I within my rights to insist on the price contained within this quote?
