  1. Hi there, Of recent there has been some very positive formal action ie : ofgem are seriously looking into BES with the possibility of revoking their licence. We contacted the UIA last week & were passed to Jim Harrison of trading standards who is gathering information from all of BES unhappy customers- to pass this onto ofgem. This is a significant & potent step forward to hopefully put an end to BES trading. There may also be remuneration prospects if there licence is revoked. We will be posting the contact details of trading standards dept as soon as we have the first steps delivered to us.
  2. Try contacting the UIA They will beable to give free informative advice
  3. I can only stress that they are trying to set standards-while our solicitors took 2k, they took nothing & their help & knowledge was what helped our case in the end. If we had of found them earlier-the guidelines that we received would have helped with our claim when put to the ombudsman. I can only suggest the UIA are promoted on a higher level. They are good people
  4. The Utilities Intermediaries Association (UIA) is a Trade Association for those Third Party Intermediaries (Tpis) facilitating energy purchasing contracts between supplier and consumer. Typically these organisations will be Consultants...... more info on their website
  5. Hi, Contact the UIA tomorrow- there is a contact card on their site & phone number - they will help you as much as they can as soon as you mention BES
  6. Yes- that would be nice for all of us! You will not be disappointed with the uia
  7. :whoo:Fleetwood town football club, Andrew Pilley. "linked in" through BES & commercial power - brokers. I think a call to this is money, the telegraph & watchdog should do it ! Spread he word !!
  8. Would be nice if everyone who has had issues with BES win or loose could make a stand! This is the thing that brings good small businesses down in a poor state of economy-and if they cant take from company assets they go for you personally. Clearly the gain from our determent is just to keep the football club running!
  9. The system is corrupt - karma - that's all I say! The forum helped us but it was a bit too late-would be great if everyone could make a stand on this Watchdog should re-open the investigation! keep us posted
  10. BES will take every avenue to try & make you responsible for their errors-they know the way around law & do not care in the slightest. You need hard factual evidence & record everything. Proof is the way forward. legal fees are approx £200 per hour speak to the UIA-they will guide you-contact form a must immediately before this get as bad as ours did.
  11. ok I can help you with this fill in the contact form on the UIA web site ask for Gill-she can help you you will be given the run around by the ombudsman & any other govern do you have legal cover on your insurance check this you will need it if things get worse legal advisors-the contact is chris newton @ newtons solicitors-if it goes that far we are exposing this BES:oops: will not be having their cake or eating it !!
  12. They will cut you off but they have to apply for a warrant first, unless you have a smart meter-its poss they can remotely disconnect these-but check that point. contact the UIA. there is a contact form on there - they are very helpful & use to the tactics this company use. They did us serious damage & we are still fighting with this company. Dont let them get away with it. theres a recent post on this forum of someone who won but you have to get tough. good luck
