  1. Hi All I had a new line and broadband installed with talktalk yesterday. My laptop connected fine during the day, but during the evening and all today my laptop has been disconnecting from the router every few minutes. My mobile connects to the router fine and keeps the connection, so i'm unsure why my laptop is having problems? I was with sky before talktalk and my laptop never had a problem connecting to the sky's router. I've tried changing to a few different channels on the talktalk router (which is a D-Link DSL-2680), but this doesn't help. Does anyone know if there's anything else i can try? Any help would be appreciated
  2. Thanks for your replies, i didn't realise i wasn't meant to reset it! oops! Although, I've noticed now that it isn't my internet disconnecting. It is my laptop disconnecting from my router, even though I am only 2 meters away. I know this is a consumer thread, but do you guys have any technical knowledge on how to fix this? I've googled it and it says to try changing the channel. Should I try this?
  3. Hi all Came across this site when searching for ways to cancel my talktalk contract (despite being less than one day into it!) and i just wondered if anyone can help me? Basically, my connection was fine today but tonight it's going on and off. I've tried resetting the router and it still keeps disconnecting. I googled how to fix it and came across tons of complaints about talktalk, so i basically want to cancel it and go back to sky. I read their T&Cs and it mentions a 7 day trial period. However, the T&Cs also state : "Finally, please note that if you have commenced using any Service after receiving these terms and conditions, you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions and agree that you will also lose your statutory right of cancellation under the Regulations" So because i've commenced the service, is that saying i can no longer cancel within the 7 day trial period? What's making this more awkward is that i've paid for 12 months line rental in advance, and i can see it being quite hard to get a refund from them! What is my best step of action to them? Any help would be much appreciated!
