  1. Hi and thanks. I am seeing my account and see I have paid £386 till april this year. I paid £9 in may, a buck in june and a buck in july. My balance should be £419 but it £36 more. I got my balance as £419 now owing but they got another £36 as well. My m8 is here now and he reckons at £7.15 since erm....march 2008 is 10 pays @ 7.15=71.50 for 2009 is 12 pays @ 7.15 = 85.80 for 2010 = 85.80 for 2011 is 85.80 and for 2012 so far is nealy 40 bucks. Using my trusty calc that add to £368 ish. From £716 my calc says about £347 ish. I know now and again i paid £10 in the early days. If I keep paying the £9 it will be quicker for sure but if these weeds just add charges and stuff when they feel like it will be a longer time. But I take your point of paying it may be better and dont worry about the charges. Thank you anyway.
  2. OK Here are the letters. http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s477/premiermandebt/PAGE1.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s477/premiermandebt/PAGE2.jpg http://i1053.photobucket.com/albums/s477/premiermandebt/PAGE3.jpg I'm gonna give a a £1 a month again as before. These idiots messed up an added £36 in a week. Don't seem right to me. The letter is deep man - i'm gonna file it with the rest! haha
  3. Hello again My m8 wrote a letter to reliable and told em that the charges are a joke and made a complaint. They wrote back and my m8 scanned em and here they are. Oh can't post em yet need to make another post. Well here it is.
  4. Thank you very much I had a budget sheet earlier this year, my m8 helped me put it right. I had £9 showing to pay these debt people. They did say in a letter they would allow £9 per 28 days, in may, so i paid that. Now between the end of may to now they have added so far £36 in charges. They don't say administration fees no more it says service charge now or interest. Maybe they are paniking that i could claim the administration charges back so they turned it into interest. i can still pay them £9 but the charges or interest is more than that, so i would need to pay forever. I have banned them from phoning me anyway so at least they cant try to trck me into paying or whatever. Thanks.
  5. Hi I got this reply back to an email I sent. As i said i was paying £9 per month and then because of the circumstances I already said about they started to add loads of charges and stuff. Here is the reply to my email _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for your recent letter. We note your comments, however, we cannot accept your offer of £1.00 every 28 days. In light of your circumstances, we will accept reduced payments at £23.00 every 28 days. Your account will be placed on a payment arrangement, as a temporary measure to help you whilst you are experiencing financial difficulties once you make your first payment. Payment must be made by credit/debit card on the telephone number below. This arrangement and your financial situation will be reviewed in 6 months time. You must ensure that your payments reach us on time and in full, by the due date shown on your statements, as failure to maintain the above agreement will lead to the arrangement being cancelled, and your minimum payments reverting back to the original contractual instalment. Please note all charges will continue to be added to the account as per our usual Terms and Conditions. To also help you to maintain your payments and for your own peace of mind, we would advise that you contact us to set up a direct debit on your account. Payments will be taken directly from your bank every 28 days, which will ensure that your account remains up to date, avoiding reminder calls, letters and administration charges. If you wish to speak to us about any of the above, or have any problems making payments to your account, you must contact us immediately on 0844 412 0966. Yours Sincerely Tony Oluwole Customer Relations Team ___________________________________________________________________________________________ They are having a laugh i think. I was paying £9 which they agreed to, then went back on their agreement. Now they want £23 lol £1 is what they will have, although maybe nothing would be better, stinking nerds. Thanks.
  6. lol. Ok thank you. You are right. they dont make any sense why they do it. I might as well ignore them like they do to me. Save me writing to them again Thanks.
  7. Hi again Could somebody please link me a letter to these idiots. I want to let them know again that they need to stop adding charges and stuff and allow me to pay what i can afford. thanks.
  8. Hi and thanks. Maybe a good idea to use a proper letter my writing skills maybe are not so good. I will pay them 1 pound a month now as the debt is going up again. I dont understand them tbh, ive always paid good and never missed a payment. I even paid the £9 in may, just before the due date and just because they renewed the deal after i paid they should have noted i paid that months payment. I did phone em but they just said to pay extra for that month and they were not nice to talk to. They said as they had made the new agreement after i had paid then that months payment doesnt count and i need to pay again. I said i couldnt but they didnt care so stuff them now. Thanks
  9. Hi, I got the info for u. It looks like Ive paid reliable since February 2008. I think it was about 2006 that I took the catalogue out. I had a letter to say that reliable were now in charge of the debt but I still pay through Premiermans website. I owed £716.33 in february 08 I did owe £420.85 two weeks ago now they have added £36 in charges so far to todays date. Thanks.
  10. The original catalogue was with Premier Man I think they are JD WIlliams. I think Reliable are them as well so it prob means they have a contract or whatever. Anyway they were paid the right amount on time they are just being asses now. Just fed up with their attitude and how easy it is for them to get somebody deeper into debt, even if youre sticking to the deal. Disgusting. Thank you.
  11. Woo, I finally managed to reply with a quote lol Easy when you know how Thanks for the info. My emails and letters have so far not been answered. I see the £9 is credited to my account but they say because they reset the payment arrangement a day or 2 after I paid May's installment doesn't count towards my arrangement! I will request CCA, I think I did it before can't remember. But I will do it again. The contract bit is a bit above me lol. So if I dont have a contract then they cant add charges. I'm on it. I dont understand tbh, I have paid them for a long time and every now and again the payment changes without a glitch. Maybe because my balance has come down a bit they think they can put it right back up with charges, idk. Anyway, I will get a letter sent off again with a buck to get the CCA thing. Thank you
  12. Hello I am having a problem with Reliable Collections. I have been paying them for a long time. In May this year (2012) they wrote to increase my payments. They told me how much I could afford. I wrote back and told them that what I can afford is different to what they say I can afford. I offered them £9 per month, from £7.15 per month. Payment was also due so on May 15th I paid the £9 I had offered. Since May 15th was nearly the last day to pay on that months installment I paid the £9 immediately. When I checked my account online shortly after paying I noticed there was still £9 owing. I emailed them 3 times to say I had paid. I talked to them on the telephone (not nice people) and was told that the account had been reset a couple of days AFTER I had made my payment so that months payment became invalid and I would need to make another £9 payment. I said my budget only allows 1 payment per statement month, they said that wasn't their problem. I wrote to complain but received no response to my complaint. I did receieve a reminder letter and a £12 charge. I wrote again, no response from them about my complaint. They added another £12 charge (within 3 days of the other charge). They want me to pay £18, now it's £27 (May, June, July). I paid the agreed amount in May, they said it is invalid. I paid £1 June and they will get another £1 in July and until the greedy swines sort this out. £24 so far in charges, and prob be another £24 this month (July). Would I be able to claim these charges back for definite? Are they breaking any rules I mean? If I can get the charges back can someone link me to what I need to do please. I have tried looking but forums really confuse me, sorry (oh and sorry if this post is in wrong place) Thank you so much.
