  1. Hi Danny i myself have had several problems with perfect homes, and only just getting them resolved after 18 months ,I have been told that house insurance is needed before TAD can be cancelled which i now have and need to take into perfect homes before they will take this off, any advice if this is the case would be appreciated by anyone else in the know, ,,with regard to OSC cover THEY HAVE TOLD ME TODAY THAT I NEED THIS. ..but i rang trading standards who say i am covered under the supply of goods act, ,and that any additional cover is only extra ,perfect homes told me that if this is not in place i will not get any repairs done if they do arise ...any advice from anyone please

  3. update had a phone call the other day to say that the suite we had chosen for replacement was being discontinued was the Julio recliner, Nothing else we really liked as not much choice in the leather. got another phone call today from head office saying that as there is nothing else we want to replace it they will issue a cheque with 25% deducted from what we have paid so we lose approx £200 and we have to wait till the faulty sofa to be taken away and checked before we get the cheque, so basicly we will be left with nothing to sit on so really ****ed off now... if we choose another sofa we get all the money we have paid transferred over without any loss goin to call into shop sometime this week ....
  4. hi just an update had a phone call from customer service team at head office yesterday and i have got a different suite and had all my money transferred over. They say they can only do this by giving me a new agreement for the full balance i then have to go back in and sign a different agreement which will show the transfer of £845.56 which is what i have already paid on my other sofa. Ime happy with this as this is all i wanted as they did say i would lose 60% of the £845.56 so to me ive won,so just stick to your guns and rights and it can get sorted so you don't lose out on more money. does this sound right what they have told me
  5. hi thanks but i have already sent in letters to my Sheffield branch and also to head office awaiting reply regard demon68
  6. Hi i have found this very helpful,i am currently having problems with my suite which was purchased from perfect homes in april 2011 within 2 months one of the chairs split on the seams. I reported this to my local branch to be repaired in july of which i had no contact, in october i rang up to see what was happening and was told nothing had been recorded so had to start it again. they sent out an agent to look at problem and was advised it would be repaired,3 months later still nothing and by then the other chair had developed the same fault. Due to there not bein bothered to update me on what was happening i contacted my local trading standards who advised me to put everything in writing and i used template for the supply of goods act 1973. I asked if i could pick a different sofa as i was not happy with the quality of the suite as after a few months develpoing the faults,I was told i could do but i would have a 60% loss of money i had paid to change to a different suite,I could have the same suite with no loss of money paid. I agreed to replacement suite after speaking to the new manager and told him that if any faults arose with the new suite i would want a different suite. The new sofa was delivered on 30th of may 2012 inspected it before signin for it for any tears was ok,1 week later when moving the suite to clean underneath my wife noticed movement to the back of one of the chairs as it was up against a wall we had not noticed this before it was like it was arecliner chair of which it is not. Once again i rang and spoke to the store manager and a replacement chair was ordered this was delivered on 26th june 2012 i checked the chair over and noticed there was movement to the back of the chair and that the shape of the chair corners where sagging inwards we no padding and also the arms of the chair was flat.Had worse shape than the 1 that i have been using for 4 weeks. The drivers were really good rang the store and told the manager and i then took over the phone call.Of which i stated how annoyed and angry i was,He wanted to send out someone to repair the chair i refused this stating that a new chair should not need to be repaired and why should i accept this and asked if he would. I have sent a letter dated the 26 th June to store listing the faults of the supposedly new chair once again quoting the supply of goods act but this time saying i want a different suite as i have been more than reasonable and want all my money paid to date transferring over to my new balance without any 60% loss. Can anyone else give me further advice with regard to getting a replacement suite and how would my agreement work would i need a new one or can this still be added to my old agreement.I want to get as much advice as i can so i know what i am talking about. My account has been paid every week with no defaults i have all the cover in place which i am thinking of cancelling any help appreciated
