  1. hello and thanks everyone for replying. I've opened the letter. I think the fear of the unknown/unremembered was worse that reality for a change. The letter says: "We have been trying to contact you with regards to the above matter. The last payment we received from you under the Suspended Warrant of Execution, was on the 29th November 2011 for £50.00 and since then we have not received communication from you, payment or otherwise. Please find enclosed a personal financial statement to be completed and returned back to us, along with your offer for repayment. Failing to do so may result in us taking legal action against you, without further notice, incurring additional charges, where all or part may be added to your outstanding balance" enclosed with the letter is a personal financial statement to complete. I'd forgotten that there was a warrant of execution for the CCJ which they suspended because of my ill health. Where do I stand now. It's Brachers LLP who are dealing. thanks again I really appreciate this and feel much better already.
  2. I have mental health problems and in 2006 & 2007 I ran up about £20k in credit cards, loans while I was quite poorly. I was hospitalised and it took a long time to get my life back on track. I was CCJ'd by Amex for £14.5k which was £3k more than the balance. I went into an arrangement with a solicitor acting for Amex and paid £50 a month by standing order. I had another relapse and went back into hospital, lost all documentation relating to the solicitors and heard nothing for 3 years but did try to find them for a while then gave up and tried to forget about it, i moved 2 years ago I got a letter in the post on Saturday which I daren't open as I know it's from them. Ive almost managed to pay off the other unsecured debt but feel sick with worry about this one. Can someone advise what my options are. I want to pay, won't have a lump sum and can afford a small monthly payment. I'd also like to know if there are organisations that will contact them on my behalf as I'm avoiding it due to fear I really do want to sort this out though. Thank you and sorry if this is in the wrong section. Sorry should have said I was defaulted in June 2007 and CCJ'd in 2008. I paid approx 14 payments of £50 a month off the debt.
