I have the same problem with nationwide my mother passed away i have ended up remortgaging the property and within 3 days of the completion I have been told by the conveyancing company that nationwide want to charge me a early redemption fee how can they do such a thing she died very sudden I have been paying it up till now but believe me they make things so hard there should be a law against this type of behaviour.
