  1. Had the acknowledgement from the court this morning. The solicitor acting is Deborah D'aughbny (or something similar) anyone got any info on her?
  2. Can't see any problem with it, at worst they will call the police who will politely ask you to move on! As long as you aren't causing an obstruction, or actually demonstrating (ie shouting out slogans, banners etc), there is nothing really they can do.
  3. No, that is right, you agree to accept the payment as an interim only. They might agree to that, they might not.
  4. claim acknowledged on 22/08/06, so quite quick really, they had another 8 days. Come on DG Solicitors, send me a letter, I'm waiting! Having looked at other's threads I should expect a letter on my mat when I get home, or perhaps tomorrow Will keep you posted
  5. Was reading your thread, good for you! Mine cant be too far behind now. T shirt ordered!
  6. They have been there since 1 Jan 05, they have had 6 month contracts and always signed up on time, assured shorthold I think. This actually happened a few months ago as well, but presumably the landlord sorted it out then.
  7. LOL, still think it's a good idea, even with this bunch of pervs turning up to watch. I'm a size 14, but I have lots of size 10 tops... (and yay for fillets, love mine!)
  8. My sister has received a notice of eviction (in 2 weeks time) from her landlords lender (presumably he hasn't been paying). My sister and her friend have always paid the rent on time and can prove this. Can anyone offer any advice on what she should do?
  9. Don't really care if they close the account, I have another elsewhere... Ooh, really tight ones so the press are interested?! I just wish that they would hurry up and reply, bored of waiting now. Let me know how yours goes
  10. OK, well I issued proceedings on MCOL on 11/08, got the Notice of Issue on Saturday, service is deemed on 15/08, they've got until 29/08 to respond. I have had more charges added to my account, does this mean I will have to file another claim? Oi, stop hijacking my thread you lot LOL
  11. I know what you mean! Will have to try not to spend all of it, maybe a holiday?
  12. Ah ok, but shoe shopping is definitely a good idea! Maybe even a trip to La Senza too mmm I wonder how long it will take them to make an offer or just pay up!
  13. OK I have issued on them and suddenly feel a lot calmer. Ooh, what will I spend it all on?
  14. I am sure that this is in the FAQ's so sorry, but if we are filing on moneyclaim online, how do we also send our schedules of charges?
  15. Thanks, I know really that it will be ok, it's just good to have somewhere to vent a bit.
  16. I am really worried about this, which is ridiculous as I am a paralegal and issue proceedings day in/day out. What if they dont pay? What if I do it wrong? This feels just like when I sat my A levels, I know I know how to do it, but the flutters in my stomach are causing everything to swim in front of my eyes. Now where did I put that paper bag to breathe into? Has anyone issued proceedings and not won yet? Help please.
  17. Actually they are pretty well behaved really, but I know of some real little horrors, whose mothers would be only too pleased to be rid of them for an hour or so...
  18. I can't believe how much money this is adding up to. Slight technical question, I have a sole account, but also a joint account which I had with my ex, now closed. My ex has gone bankrupt, so clearly he can't claim back the charges, so can i claim back the whole lot?
  19. I posted my DPA letter twice to my local branch, once by post and once by hand out of hours on 16 & 23 June. I called to confirm that they'd got the letters, and, quel surprise, they had no trace. I ended up going into my branch today to get the statements that way.The thick people they have working there tried to tell me that despite another copy of my DPA letter (in my sweaty little mitt) they would have to charge me £1.00 per sheet. AAAAAARGH, what is wrong with these people. Finally got them to agree to print off the statements for the £10.00, when they said that the branch was closing and they would post them to me. Luckily I had my secret weapons with me, my children (aged 4 & 2) decided for reasons best known to themselves, to create absolute havoc in the branch, and the older one did what I had been longing to do, and told the branch manager to stop being rude to Mummy and then she kicked him in the shins. You wouldn't believe the self control it took not to LMAO, but I got my statements 5 minutes later and left in a dignified manner. Kids are great, why didn't I think of that
  20. Can anyone give me some idea how long they had to wait for their statements to come? I know it hasn't been long, but I feel a bit anxious about this. Having said that, having not only banked with them, but also had the pleasure (?) of working for them in the past, I really want to screw them royally!
  21. OK, I have sent off the DPA letter, I will be expecting a HUGE pack of statements soon, because over the years I have had 3 seperate accounts with them, and I'm sure they have charged me on all of them. (one of them was a joint acount with my ex hubby who went bankrupt, so this could end up being the biggest claim so far!) I am so glad that this is finally happening, I am so grateful to this website, as I had no idea how to go about it before. I just cant believe it is this easy to get it all sorted.
