Thanks so much both - I'll get on to Argos on my lunch break
-
My 12 month and one week old candy washing machine has experienced what I have found out to be the very common problem of the bolts shearing off and damaging the concrete block. It’s one week out of labour warranty (although covered by the 5 year parts warranty), but I am not happy about paying for labour on a known problem especially when the machine is a year old. My previous Candy / Hoover machines lasted 13 years and 7 years respectively and I’m deeply disappointed that this product has lasted such a short time. It’s not even had 12 months full use due to holidays. Where do I stand? I have spoken to Candy customer service to say I’m not happy about paying the labour charge – and the bored sounding operative was getting a supervisor to call back (I’m still waiting). I brought the machine through Argos (their website suggest I’m out of the time frame for their help) and paid for it on a credit card.
