  1. Hi, I bought a sofa from Harvey's and like you mentioned I feel it was a hard sell and they skip over the important issues. They only told me to make sure the sofa was ok for the room as it was a large piece of furniture. With regard to access they said there shouldnt be a problem as it comes in sections not as one whole unit. They never gave me the dimensions of the sections, only of the sofa made up. When they came to deliver it they could get into the house, but not into the required room. They said I was liable as it was up to me to check access was ok. We found customer services very unhelpful, only regurgitating their terms and conditions. We went back to the store where they told us they couldnt deal with it and we would have to deal with customer services. We ended up sending plenty of letters to the financial director and customer services. We then got legal advice and put an application into the small claims court online. Only once confronted with going to court have they caved in and have accepted full responsibility and are giving me a full refund plus all expenses. I wish you all the luck with your fight with them. They seem very convincing at not giving in and it would have been very easy to give up, but my advice to you is to keep fighting it. They know that the majority of people will give up fighting.....but please persevere!!
