Back in the mid 1990's I was subject to Identity Fraud and this was being investigated by the Metropolitan Police. A couple of months ago I recieved a letter from Cabolt Financial regarding an unpaid Barclaycard with an outstanding balance of £1800 (which may or may not be mine). At first I ignored the letters but somehow they have managed to obtain my home telephone number and are telephoning me at all hours virtually everyday. I have subsequently sent them a letter (recorded delivery) asking them to put everything in writing to me and to stop contacting me by telephone. I have received another letter now asking for me to provide them with Identification such as a driving licence or passport should I do this? I have lived at my current address for over 5 years and my previous address was over 6 years and not at any one time did I own a Barclaycard. Not really sure what to do next? All help would be very gratefully recieved. Thanking you in advance. Peanut:smile:
