Just to add another voice to everyone here caught out by these people... .I too had a call, telling me how wonderfully cheap and cost effective BES were in comparison to all the other suppliers out there.. ...more fool me to lower my guard and say yes to the contract, thinking I would have a cooling of period. Not so it seems letter has been sent and today I will call them up and verbally confirm what was in the letter and terminate their extortionate contract with the £400 fee. I am hoping that I will get this back someday, and I will follow it up with an official complaint to the ombudsman. all I hope is that BES will accept an over the phone payment as my supply is due to switch next week. I can not afford the £400 fee.... but I cannot afford their extortionate rates either. Also for piece of mind the fee is worth it.... .a steep learning curve and fingers crossed that the class action lawsuit I have read about will put this bunch of conmen out of business. ....soon

Been caught out too.....today I will call up cancel the contract pay the **** £400 and then set about getting it back. The supply switches over next week so need to act today. I sent a recorded letter already stating I wish to terminate, so fingers crossed I will be in a position to pay them and be free....any one know if they take verbal cancellations? Also payment over the phone? Otherwise it's a drive to Blackpool
