  1. Hey all thanks. I did provide them with my real details and gave them my driving license in the end. they ran a police check which bizarrly showed no record of me at my correct address, but i have lived there for 3 years so bizarre that. Anyway, they took my word for it, as my driving licence showed my true address. I have no worries on that front as I genuine do live here and are registered. I appreciate that I deserve to face the consequences and I am prepared to willingly accept or offer an out of court settlement at whatever price they put it at. I would just like to think that given all the circs, my clean history and legal prospects etc, that it would be disproportionate to impose a conviction. I understand my stupidity and know what i did was completely wrong, i guess its just one of those things in the heat of a moment, i took a chance, which i know regret completely. I would appreciate any disparaging comments are left out please, I came for advice. Not criticism. I know exactly what I have done wrong and that I should be punished in some way. Thanks
  2. Hey all, Did this really stupid thing when caught today, admitted when i was caught out and the inspector says i'll hear from their legal team....now i am scared of being prosecuted. This is my first offence and was done in a stupid moment of madness....a crimninal record will impact my future career plans i.e i am legally qualified cwhich i would say the consequence of my stupidity on the career, goes without saying...... More stupidly - the name and address i provided were the same as those provided a year ago when my mate did it (though they did not check uip at the time)....so they think i have done this twice and theres a prosecution already out there on the other one...... What can i do to avoid prsecution in court? I dont think they will believe that i wasnt the person who used these details last time, but surely they can only prove this time round, as they now have my correct details. And that last year, they cant pin on me as no ID check was done at that time. Any comments appreciated, worried sick. Thanks all.
