  1. hi crem, thanks for the reply. i have spoken to them this afternoon and they say that they continued to take out the DD to pay off the fees for cancelling the insurance. can they do this without my consent?
  2. hi there , hopefully you can help. my wife was stopped on saturday for driving without insurance. we had a policy with swinton. upon contacting them we found that the policy had been cancelled 3 months earlier due to no proof of NCB being recieved, which i sent but have no prof of. we had recieved no notice of this (they say that they sent us letters but i have asked swinton to provide proof of postage) however the day after the insurance was cancelled a letter was recieved from them saying that our DD had been reduced with no reason why. i put this down to the NCD being received and the payments being adjusted. (my wife has 6 years NCB from our previeous insurer which i have proof of) I have made all of the reduced payments since assuming that we were insured! I know that technically we still broke the law but do we have a "special reasons case"?? thanks for your time.
