Hi Guys,
New to the site and have been having a read around and there is some good info on the forums, especially considering this issue:
I got a parking ticket by VCS for parking in Centertainment, Sheffield. It was for parking outside a designated bay. I do not believe I was, although the rear of the car may have been over the line behind me, but saying this there was nothing behined me to which I was obstructing.
Now after reading all the advice on this forum I am firmly in the mindset to ignore them. Im pretty principle led to be honest and if I was on yellow lines etc, then fair play. But in this situation I have no time for these companies. Especially as after leaving the car I saw 3 of their staff waling round, one on their radio saying "I have a car here, they may have moved a cone, can we do them?"!!!!
My question is, sadly I emailed them disputing the ticket straight away, and I have replied to their response saying they will uphold the charge. On at least one of these occasions I said I had parked the car, only now do I realise I should have kept quiet, but ho hum thats life.
Will this make much difference in terms of me ignoring them?
Below is a pic of where I parked:
This is the pathetic letter they sent me which must be one of their generic letters as it goes on about my permit, which seems to have no bearing on the situation?
Cheers for any help and advice, will keep you all updated, hopefully despite me saying I did park the car (albeit in a place I saw as no problem) I will be able to ignore this issue unitl it goes away.
Thanks, Mark.
