PPI on Northern Rock mortgage

Did you manage to be successful with your claim on the house insurance with NR as I am doing the same claim and have had a negative letter back from them and considering doing it through ombudsman -
What is a CQ and SOC? Do you mean by complaint letter, a template from somewhere or just my personal complaint? I cannot find out when I got my own insurance through Age concern but did find a renewal letter dated ~September 2002 and the mortgage was started in Feb 2006 and finished in June 2008. I did contact Age concern but they said they only kept records after 2006

I sent a letter as suggested on Martin Lewis's site requestinga copy of the credit agreement.which they returned for me. My son then telephoned them on my behalf and a guy took details of account, names, dates of birth etc. He said he would look into it and let me know within seven days, which is what has happened.

New member I have sent letters to NR for recovery of PPI and House Insurance. Received a letter regarding PPI and will be dealt with in the next 8 weeks, presuming that they will come back to me with an offer. Received negative letter from NR regarding house insurance. I was told by the seller at the time of applying that this was compulsory to have the mortgage granted. I have had insurance with another company for the majority of time I held the mortgage (therefore paying twice) and obviously did not understand the deal I was committed to. Has anyone else been in this situation and how did you handle it?
