  1. Cheers ims Will go and do some reading on the FOS website then probally shoot a letter off to EGG if no joy with EGG I will report to FOS for sure.... Thanks again Paul
  2. Hi ims21 Thanks for your swift response Yes I did indeed send in a completed FOS questionnaire (15th Feb 2012). The reasons I stated were that I was not given an option to decline PPI as it was a condition of me getting the CC further more I did not need the insurance as I was covered by other employment related benefits. Regards Paul
  3. Dear all I received a letter from EGG today stating that they have declined my claim on the basis that my application was made on line and that I purchased CRP (PPI) insurance through the EGG internet website which disclosed the optional nature of the policy. Furthermore they state that as the Egg online process used at the time disclosed the key features of the policy, including costs, benifits, limitations and exclusions we have been unable to identify a reason to suggest that this information was not provided to you in a claer and fair manner. They then go on to state that as this is there final response they will not enter into anymore correspondance in this matter and I should go to the FOS if I disagree. My question is where of anywhere do I go from here. Do I lodge a complaint with the FOS or go back to Egg saying I disagree. From what I recal there was NO option on the online form to decline PPI and it maye have even been pre ticked at time of application. I just cant be 100% sure Any ideas or suggestions on what I need to do next Regards Paul
  4. Hi Coffee Assume same has happend to you ?. I sent my letter to BC last week (12th April) To be honest I am not expecting a positive reply so once the 14 days is up I will file at court. Regards Paul
  5. Thanks Slick.. As ever I will follow your sage advice. Letter going to them today. Regards Paul
  6. Hi Slick, I am giving BC till the end of this week to come back to me otherwise.....its off to court I go.. I guess my first port of call is filing out aN1 correct ?. As this is a case of .....they (BC) agreed the PPI refund but instead or sending me the money they elected to pay a DMC (Link Financial) to whom they sold the debt ... what should I put on the N1. Do you have any special wording I should or may use................ never doen this before and pretty scared to be honest about not doing it correctly at court... Thanks Paul
  7. Hi Slick, Many thanks for your response... I sent the "you have 14 day to reconsider otherwise I will consider court action" letter on the 17th March 2012- 1st Class Recorded. It was signed for on the 20th March 2012 at their Leicester offices. Let's see what turns up if anything over the next week.. Regards Paul
  8. Hi All, Ok the time has come for me to follow through with my court action against BC- Is there someone that can offer some advice as to how I proceed and begin to take these guys to court in an attempt to recover the refund they agreed to but have no paid direct to a 3rd party agency. NB the funny part is they only did this on one claim for one card as I had another claim running for another Barclaycard which I also won and on that one they split the refund between me and the DCA... Doesn't seem to be any consistency in there approch... Never done this before and want to make sure I dot all the I's and cross all the T's for court action Much appreciated Regards Paul
  9. Hi Bob As per comment above from IMS I sent my SAR to HFC Bank Camden House West The Parade Birmingham B1 3PY they replied within the 40 days Now Im am sending in my PPI claim to same address Hope you get all the information you need.. Regards Paul
  10. Yes it is that one.. apologies I will carry on with that thread if needed next week. I am sure it will be needed Thanks again for all your help with HFC today... Regards Paul
  11. I read that somewhere:-x (very bad boys indeed).. I will keep you updated as it unfolds with HFC. PS. Im having a fight or two with BC at the moment which I might need to take to court if they do not review and reconsider within the next week or so... I gave them 14 days to come back to me which expires end of this week. If I need to go the court route can I ask for some help with the filing of the correct forms etc.. Would that be ok with you guys.. Thanks again Paul Thanks again Paul
  12. Thanks IMS - all done - will submit the claims tomorrow via registered post to HFC Thanks for all you help today Paul
  13. I guess so......... and that seems to ring a bell. (and stupid me it dawned on me after I sent you the email doohhh Now I know when the loans started and finished and the int rate being chraged......is there a spreadsheet I can feed the PPI numbers into to give me all the calculations.. I guess I need one for single upfront PPI payment correct ? Thanks for all you help Paul
  14. Hi ims Yes I did get transaction history for both accounts but nothing that show a lump sum PPI is listed in the trans history Loan 1 total amount is saying £8,821.33 and on the transaction list the opening balance is £ 7,024.19 Loan 2 total amount is saying £3798.94 and on the transaction list the opening balance is £ 3,400.00 APR was 20.79% on both loans Cheers Paul
  15. Hi ims21 Thanks for getting back to me. HFC state in the SAR response that as the loan accounts are now closed they were unable to locate the original loan agreements. When I called them this morning they said they did not have that information on there CSR screens as it was an old closed account and I would have to write in and submit my claim with out it.. Cheers Paul
