  1. Hi there I'm new to this forum I'm not sure anyone will be able to give me some advice on this. I'm afraid I might just have to put it down to experience and swallow the loss. We ordered a couple of sofas - the 'Dante' range - from Furniture Village before Christmas. Looking back, it was an impulsive decision and we should have shopped around to make sure we were 100% sure. Anyway, they came over the weekend, and my heart sank. They're not as nice as I remembered and don't look great in our living room. So the first thing I did was look in the FV website for info regarding returns. It said they accept returns within 7 days. But of course when I called the store to ask if I could, they said "sorry, but because you ordered it them store, you do not have the right to return them". Aaaaargh! So if only we'd ordered them online.... I asked whether we could return them for more expensive sofas but it was a big fat 'no'. I think when I ordered them I had it in the back of my mind that we'd be able to return them if we didn't like them. Silly I know. But we'd been spoilt by Dreams - we'd just bought a mattress from them, and you can return it after a month if you don't get on with it (for another mattress of course). Anyway, I just wondered if anyone had any advice, or whether I'm literally stuck with an expensive mistake? Sorry for the novel. Thanks, Rachel
